Little tip for smoothing the camera keyframes, you don't actually need to delete them, just snap to the keyframe, adjust it, then press down on the d-pad and it'll replace it

just bought on ps5 was honestly not expecting much out of this game was really considering it for a week now. after several hours im freaking addicted this game is so realistic when u have been trying challenges and finally nail that trick is super rewarding such a great game cant wait for the future

thats how i felt when i was doing the jam challenge in philly; i lost like 5 times, and i went and practiced what lines i was going to do instead of free balling it. and then when i went in and won, i was so hype.

have u played xl? i got tired of it on console cuz u go waay too fast on a lot of obstacles and theres a severe lack in features as well. im interested in getting this for ps4.

@@Shad0wmoses yes i play on pc so i use the mods and stuff. even with the realistic gravity and catching your tricks, it’s still easy as hell imo. in session, if im a little bit to the right or left, im not landing that grind, which i love because nobody lands everything everytime irl

Im so glad people are really starting to like this game, i backed this project ever since the kickstarter demo but ive been hooked ever since they added the philly map. This game is going places, so excited to see what the future holds for session 💪

The devs are gonna be upgrading to Unreal 5 at some point, and they’re still looking to hire an animator as they lost their last one not too long ago Animations will come in time 😏

Exactly what I needed! Replay editor definitely has a bunch of great features but it was confusing as hell the first time I opened it. Loving the game so far!

I definitely use to give session a hard time in comparison to XL, but I'll gladly eat my words. They cleaned up nice, I'm enjoying it. Not perfect, but a step in the right direction.

That blunt to bodyvarial near the end was pretty sic. I wish I could do something like that both in-game and irl. 😅 Can't get over how clean that was.

I knew this would be coming and was waiting patiently before I started filming myself. 🤣

Nyjah Houston was my fav pro at that time bc dude had locs to his feet and was skating and I'm like wow! Also, I would go to my aunt's house often JUST to watch FuelTV(my mom didn't have that channel package in her DirecTV subscription) Even got a chance to learn a few tricks myself but the country living and having no car ruined any hopes of getting better....good times. Still within the culture.

Sick stuff. My BIGGEST thing that I really hope they add is a "lock focus to player" keyframe option for focus, because having to manually focus is such an unnecessary time killer. 99% of the time you want it on the skater. And as powerful as the replay editor is, I think the controls for it are unnecessarily convoluted. Aside from focus and camera shake, you should be able to zoom and place camera all within the same keyframe like you can with XL, there's no reason to have them as separate features and it would speed up the process tremendously. Add auto focus to this and a clip with all the same features would take less than half the time to film.

Loved the video! Next you should show how and when to use slow motion in clips, your filming is the best!

Anybody have an issue with their controller sometimes almost seeming like it disconnects from their Xbox? Like I’ll be skating and then I start going and go to turn and nothing happens, I’ll just roll for a while, and then like 5 seconds later it registers me turning and just holds that so my guy is now going around in circles for a while, until it just completely stops registering anything and sometimes my guy just freezes like my game froze but I can still pause it and change map to kind of fix it

Skater xl players be like damn even Milky is enjoying session.

I was all about Skater XL....this update in session is amazing. It feels almost like another game. Now we have 2 good skateboarding games :D Hope both keep improving.

@Stefan Kluge yes it was more challenging but not in a good way. I'm talking when it just released, that's when I first played the game. At that time, imo, session was worst because the movement was 100% more clunky, not smooth at all. They are clearly better in that regard, and now it feels challenging but in a good way. In a way where most of the things actually make sense and the most important thing, you can tweak the settings like speed, pop height, and that stuff which is CRUCIAL and if I'm not mistaken, in skater XL you were able to tweak that almost from day one. Appart from that, the amount of content was so much better in skater XL because it had mods and a couple of maps from day 1. Session just had one map, poor customization + no mods (at the time). Anyhow, now we have two great games and session is looking better than ever, lots of quests, which imo it's MANDATORY. Even if it's a simulation game you need something to keep you engage and trying new lines.

How do you access all clips on console to download. I was using screen capture but that lowers quality

I’m so glad they decided to add San Francisco of all places. You know how sick of SoCal I was getting? And being able to finally go to these spots in game I’ve been to in real life really makes it feel super special to me. If they added Sacramento I’d be ecstatic.

Yeah you could definitely do that in Session! Just set the playback to .5 speed or whatever for the whole clip and speed it back up

I just use default gravity with a little lower pop it’s nothing crazy, I probably just didn’t scoop it hard enough cause they work pretty well for me most of the time

playing on pc, every time i save replay it's just lost into oblivion. Nothing appears on 'load replay' menu. Any help on where to find my replays? Can't even find them in file explorer

Yea you don’t need to add identical frames, it’s just a habit I do to imagine how I’m gonna keyframe the entire clip

The fact that you can change the gameplay camera so much is huge.

THIS game is the FUTURE. I don't want to play Skate 4 tbh. i'm never knocking anyone who does want to play it...and i hope they enjoy it to their heart's content but honestly, i'm good with just playing Session, and a little bit of Skater XL (which may be unlikely).

It sucks that I can't actually record anything because they don't give you the option to invert the vertical camera axis.

This game really growed on me since day 1, and i am loving it this game is finally superior to skater xl, I dare say that will become's Milky favorite game

It's a bit wonky, let's say you do a 5-0, you have to release and reinput your back foot and then Ollie, so if you com in right side and want to pop to the left, just release the back foot stick, input to the left and then do your Ollie input with your front foot, just remember that if you have trick relative input on for grinds you have to input the right direction to Ollie, otherwise you'll flip out (yeeeeh it's hard to explain, hope it helps!)

It definitely feels less intuitive than SXL out the gate. I think it’s just one of those things you have to power through to get used to it before it becomes second nature. Took me a few tries and a couple of guides before I actually filmed anything because it was intimidating at first.

I literally will NOT get this game solely because when the board flips, the rotation is so fast it's like a flash. The flip needs to be slower, so you can see it better.

my biggest gripe with this game is how inconsistent it is. some features, like the replay editor, has been given so much attention and care, while other things are extremely lackluster and barebones. this game needs a lot of polish, because it still feels like an early access title. it's still a lot of fun, i just wish they put as much love as went into the replay editor, into all aspects of the game.

Skate 4 and session are both completly different experiences if u skate in real life you will most likely like session or modded skter xl mire but if u dont skate skate 4 will feel better for u

Ngl skate. looks like ass so right now. F2P sucks and I don’t want parkour in my skating game.

That looks way too complicated than it should be. To me, its never felt realistic to film anything in video games that have a replay editor. It feels so separated from what it feels like in real life. There is no pausing, going around to find the best angle and then tagging each frame, and going back and edit to fix anything. Idk Thats how i feel. On the other hand, when i did mess around with cameras at the skatepark, I preferred photos over video. I mean catching an insane line after an hour of failing is nice and all, but something about catching that single frame, and it turning out to be a cool photo just hits different. To me, i feel just as accomplished as the skater landing the trick cuz its in mid air, frozen in time. The board is doing something, the skater is doing something. Its just a good feeling. Its a lot more difficult to get that perfect single moment than recording a whole sequence of an event.

You're asking for an entirely new game in itself, it's a skateboarding simulator not a videographer/photographer simulator. But as a comment above has mentioned you can rewind the clips and film them in real time using filmer mode. If that's not good enough I dunno what to tell you cause skating + filming/photography is a multi person job and this is a single player game lol.
