My hardest issues since denouncing Mormonism and coming to Christ is the unbearable guilt that I actually taught my children that false religion and bore testimony their entire childhood that it was true. Being able to speak the words "I was wrong, completely wrong" makes you stand face to face with that great mormon pride and realize just what a piece of scum we all are and only Jesus makes us pure. Thank you Sandra for all the truth work you and your husband have uncovered and brought to light. Thank you more for leading us to Christ.

Isaiah 43:18 Forget the former things. Don’t dwell in the past. Forgive yourself. Give all of your concerns for your children to God. He’s a good Father.

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." [2 Corinthians. 5:17-19] † NASB † I made sure to post enough of the passage to get the main thrust of its context. With that said though, even a hymn that pretty much everybody is familiar with has these lyrics: "I once was blind but now I see," I am of course talking about amazing grace, which is superfluous to think I even need to mention. I honestly mention it all though with the intent to encourage, and honestly hope to lift up a fellow believer, even in Christ, we still struggle but its all worth it, because He is worth it. Saying a prayer for you. Soli Deo Gloria!

I don’t feel guilt but righteous indignation that my ancestors were lied to and the leaders kept the lies going.

Sandra was such a great help when I left Mormonism! Initially, the pain was beyond description because of the impact it had and still has on my family. Even after 15 years I still have two TBM daughters who won't have anything to do with me. Praise God, God and time has healed my heart. Not completely, but being now a Christian I know I had no other choice and God has enabled me to deal with the loss. I am so grateful to know God and the Gospel.

I knew from a young age that this church was not real....I pray now for my mother, may she now at least find her eyes and heart to be open. And leave the deceit behind the closed doors and walk forever in the light of God.

i find it ridiculous that almost every doctrine of the mormon church has changed EXCEPT FOR POLYGAMY. if ever there was A SIGN OF A MANMADE RELIGIOUS "PRINCIPAL" IT WOULD BE POLYGAMY. i mean come on already. geez.

I notice men in general are never very exercised against polygamy (unlimited lust and adultery commanded by God). Even exmormons. Go figure.
