Session 2# Make 3D Clock Shape with Blender in 10 Minutes
Starting in the 1988's Ton Roosendaal funded an animation company called NeoGeo. NeoGeo is growing so rapidly that it has become the largest animation company in the Netherlands and one of the leading animation companies in Europe. Ton Roosendaal is not only responsible for art director but also for internal software development.
In 1995 appeared a software that was eventually called Blender. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that Blender has the potential to be used by artists outside of NeoGeo. Then in 1998 Ton founded a company called Not a Number (NaN) to further develop and market Blender. NaN's goal is to create a solid 3D animation software, cross-platform that is free and can be used by the general computer user community.
