"Faith Alone" is NOT enough, you MUST also WORK to DO the Will of God the Father. (Matthew 7:21-23) James 2:14-26....Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. ... 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Think of it this way: ONLY Jesus' Perfect Sacrifice was able to OPEN the door of Heaven by enabling the Forgiveness of sin. Without Jesus' Perfect Sacrifice on the Cross, NO amount of WORK is able to forgive the slightest of sin and to open the door of Heaven. However, once the door of Heaven is opened, you are still required to do the WORK of CARRYING your CROSS With Jesus and follow Him to enter Heaven. (Matthew 16:24-26) Claiming you "know and accept" Jesus by your FAITH is NOT enough....you may even evangelize in Jesus' name, but if you did not do the WORK or DO THE WILL of God the Father, Jesus will say "I never knew you." (Matthew 7:21-23) I Never Knew You 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

I remember men like you when I was younger I’m in my 60s now mom and dad would take us to revivals into church to hear men that preached with conviction you could see it in their face and hear it in their voice their love for God was real I walked away from God most of my life after knowing truly he was the only way so I don’t know if I’m just lost forever or what. I listen to a lot of your sermons somehow I feel like these when I listen to you preach like I’m in a safe spot. Dear God I hope I’m saved. Praise God and honor Him each Sabbath in worship. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Exodus 20:8 “Remember the (7th day, Saturday) Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Honor the Creator of the Sabbath on Saturday. Not on Sunday, which is the first day of the week. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,

@@deitert07 The life of a Christian is not a perfect sinless life. We make a small step in our sanctification which is on the road to glory. The Christian has a struggle with sin, but not like the unbeliever struggles. The Christian looks to Jesus Christ in what He has done for him, and this faith is what cleanses us in God's eyes. The life of repentence and forgiveness is God working in us to do His will. Faith in the Word of God is the means we do this and the Holy Spirit is the power by which we accomplish God's will. My understanding of "Justification by Faith Alone (Sola Fide)" means thru the Grace of God, "FAITH" (not work) must come FIRST "alone" before "GOOD WORKS" (Charity of Love/Deeds) that are pleasing in the sight of God, begins/starts... It can not be WORK alone first before FAITH or both Faith and Work thru Grace justifies us at "the same time"... Our Faith Alone in God must come "FIRST" to each individual, then through our Faith in God... the FRUITS of Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) will manifest or reflect on us thru the grace of God in Christ Jesus as "EVIDENCE" to our Faith... Yes, it is true... the Bible said, "FAITH without WORK is a dead faith"... but it did not say,... "WORK without FAITH is a dead work."... Christ said, No works/deeds of man can be justified in the sight of God unless Faith thru Grace of God must come first to man... and that Faith is thru HIs Son, Christ Jesus... after that, our Charity of Love/Deeds begins/starts throughout our life in Christ and that is where our DEEDS/WORKS will be judged by God on His Judgement Day (Rev. 20:12 / Roman 2:6/14:10-12)... Therefore, FAITH "alone" must come FIRST before Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) begins/starts for those who truly repented and believe in God... Can not be the other way around... Amen.

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:6-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH OR OBEDIENCE TO GOD. One is letting you know that there are no Works we could have done to make Christ want to die on the cross for us. Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The other is about believing and being obedient to God because you believe. Faith without WORKS OR OBEYING GOD IS DEAD. James 2:14-26. Noah believed and then OBEYED OR WENT TO WORK BUILDING THE ARK. Now that Christ already paid the full price for our salvation we have to attain it by obeying his way to receive it, Acts 2:38! There is no sinner's prayer. Nowhere in the bible in this church age does it state to accept the Lord Jesus as your saviour and you are saved. Mark 16:16, he that believes and is baptized shall be saved. FAITH WITHOUT OBEDIENCE TO GOD WILL BE IN VAIN. God bless you..

Whats interesting about what you said. You must obey the gospel to be saved. And what is the gospel? "You are saved by grace thru faith and not by works". Romans 10:9-13 [9]If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10]For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. [11]As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” [12]For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, [13]for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”John 3:16 [16]For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. see baptism of water without faith is nothing and useless but baptism with faith completes the cammandent of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin. But your still justified and saved by faith alone.

@@mr.boboman5701, Many are getting the WORKS mixed up. If I paid the full price for a ticket for you to the ball game and you refuse to obey me and accept it, then you won't get into the game even those I paid the full price for it. Jesus Christ paid the full price for our salvation. There was nothing we had to do for him to do that for us. He just wants us to obey him and receive it. He never said just believe and you will be saved. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, Mark 16:16. God already had set up the plan for Noah to be saved. He just had to believe and obey God's commands to be saved and Build the Ark. Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven. Just believing or having faith is not enough. James 2:14-26, What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man says he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Verse 17, Even so faith, if it hath not WORKS, is dead, being alone. It's not automatically applied. Just because I paid the full price for the ticket, you don't automatically receive it. Just think about it. If all we had to do for salvation is believe, then why Mark 16:16, Luke 13:3, John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-5, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12, 1 Peter 3:21. You can't delete any scriptures. So it has to be talking about two different Works. One your own good Works, Titus 3:5, and One a Work of obedience to God, James 2:14-26. Titus 3:5, is letting us know there is no good Work that you could have done to make Christ die for us on the cross. James is saying that once you believe, then you have to back it up with a response or obey God.

Acts 2:36-42, Jews, Acts 8th chapter, Samaritans, Acts 10th chapter, Gentiles. God is not the author of confusion. So he didn't set up all these different faiths, and different ways to be saved. I would like to share with you what I believe the Bible teaches us about GENUINE saving faith. What does it mean to put our faith in God? It means we put our faith in Him for who He is and what He has done. Our faith in Him begins when we realize that we are a sinner who is spiritually bankrupt and destitute, in need of a Savior, like the publican in Luke 18:13, who said, “… God, be merciful to me, a sinner!” When we recognize God for who He is, we recognize that He is faithful and true to His word. We can fully trust Him to save us as we entrust our lives and souls to Him. This means we trust Him to take over the controls of our lives as we trust in His perfect payment for our sin, dying in our place when He died on the cross. Not only do we need to accept Christ’s death as a penalty for our sin but we must realize and believe that we have been totally justified (made right with God) in Christ through His resurrection from the dead. I Corinthians 15:17 tells us “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile, you are still in your sins!” We read also in Romans 4:25, “He was delivered to death for our sins, and was raised to life for our justification.” We must put our trust in Christ and what He has done for us completely. We dare not add anything to it like trying to secure our salvation by what we do. If we do this, in effect we are saying to God, what Christ did for me was insufficient to save me. Our faith in Christ must be exclusive of every religious rite, system, teaching, creed, or person, including trusting in ourselves. (Ephesians 2:8,9, Titus 3:4) He is our all sufficiency. When we trust in Him to be our all sufficiency, then He gives us the assurance of salvation just as He tells us in Romans 8:16, which says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” When we believe in Christ in this way, God accepts us in Christ by putting to death our sinfulness in Christ when He died on the cross and by giving us His righteousness through the power of His resurrection. II Corinthians 5:21 says, “He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (KJV) As it relates to our sanctification, (God conforming us into image of Christ in our daily walk with Him) only the Spirit of Christ can produce the kind of good works that are acceptable to Him. He will do this in and through us as we say no to sin and as we yield to His direction and rely on His power in us by His Holy Spirit. In closing, I John 5:13 says, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know you have eternal life.” I hope this helps. God bless.

We, being dead in our trespasses and sins, how do we produce faith? How can we even choose to do anything outside of our death? We cannot. Lazarus did not rise from the grave on his own. In fact, in order for him to rise from the dead, he did nothing. Jesus Christ came and called him out of the grave. How, in his grave, did Lazarus hear Jesus Christ call him out of the grave? And how did Lazarus choose to rise from the dead? He did Not! The only reason he came out of the grave was because Jesus Christ gave him life through His commandment to Lazarus. Lazarus did not choose to live, God gave Him life through His Command. So, faith…. How do we as sinners that are dead in our trespasses and sins, have faith? How do we choose faith, how do we produce faith, how do we gain faith? It is a gift of God. He has set forth the works we will do! We don’t! We can’t even boast in our faith being a work of our own. It’s not! A dead man’s faith produces no works because a dead man is dead and has no life! God causes us to be born again, out of the death which was of the flesh and into life which is of the Holy Spirit. We can do nothing. We can however, after being brought from death to life by the God Given faith by which we are saved, can boast in God’s glorious works! Not ours! God is most worthy! He brought me out of the grave, not my dead faith! A dead man has no faith!

Adam and Eve were not kicked out of the garden because they didn't believe God, they were kicked out because they disobeyed him, that is the same reason we will not get access to the tree of life in the end Rev 22:14 who gets to eat? those who wash their robes. How do we get our clean linen Rev 19:8 "for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints, and Rev 7:14 they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. It is a matter of faith in what Christ did and us being faithful. Will never change from Garden until final judgment. In James 2:24, James the leader of the church in Jerusalem, the one presiding over the Jerusalem Council Acts 15 where they agreed you are saved/ justified by faith, thru grace, that is thru faith not circumcision, At that council they were discussing how people get INTO the New covenant not how they get eternal life. James hadn't forgot the decision they made when he wrote James 2:24 He was agreeing with it, and adding that once you are in the New Covenant by faith you have to do good works to stay in the covenant, at the end of the verse 24 he says not faith alone he is saying both, just as Paul says in Romans 2:13 but the doers of the law will be justified then in 3:28 he says we are justified by faith Paul isn't confused here, we are because we interpret his next words" apart from works of the law" as referring to keeping the moral law when it is in fact saying the same as the Jerusalem council by faith "apart from circumcision (works of the law). No need to twist Paul's words, he is saying the same as James and a hundred or more other verses in the new testament which say the same ie Matt 6:14 If you don't forgive others their trespasses your heavenly Father will not forgive you. I don't think anyone believes they will get to heaven "be saved/justified" if they are not forgiven by God. So Jesus is saying the same as Paul and James we will be justified by what we do when we stand before God just as do over 100 other verses say in the new testament. The bible teaches that consistently from the fall to Rev 22 Luther got a little confused and we believed him. Blessings

Christ be with you Your discussion of Faith alone in Gen 3 is flawed Sin has always be what bars us from heaven. We do not doubt that it is Gods Grace his forgiveness of our sin that cleansed us of that sin (1 John 1:7) We receive this Grace not because of what we have do but despite the what we have do our sin. But our faith is not alone when we receive this Grace, it is accompanied by our Love, by our obedience, it must uphold the Law. Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. (Rom 3:31) deny faith alone is not denying that God Grace saves us cleanses us of sin. It is denying that the faith, through which we receive that Grace, is alone. We must repent and love and obey God. you appear to be conflating God Grace with Faith. Abraham received his promise thought faith (Gen 15:8-9) St Paul tells us this (rom 4:13) Yet God tells us this promise was fulfilled because Abraham obeyed God (Gen 26:4-5) Come to Christ

Hi, I hope your having a wonderful day. No, if He saved you, you will not want to go and sin. You will love righteousness and hate all evil. The only way into the kingdom of Heaven is to be born again (John 3:3). When a person gets born again the entire disposition and way of thinking changes. You will begin to hate sin and love all that’s good and right. This is why the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that we are new creatures. The person we used to be who loved sin died, and we been born again into a new person who love Christ and obeys His every Word. We have the Holy Spirit living in us, and one thing He does in us is progressively makes us holy, conforming us into the image of Jesus Christ. Who is blessed, perfect, and sinless. Besides, Hebrews 12:14 tells us that apart from holiness no one will see the Lord. The Holy Spirit does this work in us the moment we become a Christian and He does it by causing us to disdain all sin and turn from it and repent from it all. Oh we hate sin it’s so loathsome. It put our Lord on the cross. I hope this helps.

Do not misunderstand. If Jesus Christ has paid for your sins, you are forgiven and you will go to heaven. You cannot outsin His grace, His righteousness, His forgiveness, His sacrifice. all your debt to God has been paid, if you are in Him. but, a saved person will sin. they cannot stop sinning until they are taken up with Him in His presence. that is NO excuse to sin though. However, a person who has been saved, as mentioned by the previous comment, will be given a new nature that loves God and hates sin. perhaps i read into it a bit, but i think how you worded it is very telling and is often the attitude of either the false convert or very immature, disobedient believer. the attitude is one that seeks to justify sin because you're actively seeking sin. to find 'loopholes' or a way to permit it. to attempt to abuse the grace and love of God. this is frightening. a believer should find every way possible to eliminate sin, hating it, trying to get rid of it as much as they can, to remove it and forsake it and hate it. why? not because it will result in them going to hell, but because it is evil against GOD! God, the Creator, the One who gives every breath, every heartbeat, gave sight, smell, taste, thought, every strand of our DNA and functioning cell, every instant of not melting away, has patiently and mercifully allowed us to live for one moment without the unfathomable wrath of God on us that we rightly deserve. The Holy Holy Holy God who has given us by His unimaginable grace everything. far less than that alone should cause every man to give the life they steward entirely to Him in worship and love and obedience. for far less than that He is worthy of all. But then on top of that, in the mystery of mysteries, God's unimaginable love was shown in the person of Jesus Christ. The Son of God, Lord of lords, and King of kings, the Alpha and Omega, the Lord God Almighty stepped down from His thrown in the Glory of His presence with the Father, and took on flesh. The King of Glory, perfect in holiness, glory, power, and majesty, humbled Himself to be knit inside the womb of a virgin and birthed into the world as a babe. He lived among the fallen creation He created that hates Him. He lived the only perfect life. He subjected Himself as a man to this evil. Yet He perfectly obeyed the Father, giving all glory to the Father and fulfilled His Law. Then He, the One with authority over all, over life and death itself, in perfect submission to the will of the Father, gave Himself over, in all His deity and power, to His very own creation to be falsely convicted, not offering any defense of Himself, then being bruised, spit on, mocked, stripped, tortured, the Holy Lamb of God climbed onto His cross and was crucified by the dust He gave life to. Unlimited power and glory and holiness, on a cross of wood. There He took on the unspeakable horror of the full, holy, unknowable wrath of the perfectly righteous, holy, and just God Almighty. such suffering that has no words. The priceless Son of God, the One of infinite worth, suffered the ENTIRE wrath of the One who spoke existence into existence. Then declaring 'IT IS FINISHED', Jesus, the Christ, the Lamb, gave up His life by His own authority and died. The uncreated Word of God, died. The price had been paid. The only perfect, the final sacrifice. He was buried. Then God rose Him from the grave, declaring for all eternity that His sacrifice is accepted by the Father, that the Lord God Almighty Lives! So. How could someone who believes in that Lamb want to ever sin again. How could they possibly fathom the idea of going after that which is so evil it requires such a price, which He suffered. No. No, that person who has been saved by Him is no longer their own, they have been bought with a price that is beyond comprehension. How DARE they possibly entertain such an idea as 'can go and sin'. what very little that person must think of the Lord. But the horrible truth is, such a person am i. and is every believer. that we think far too little of sin, far too much of ourselves, and cannot begin to comprehend the infinite worthiness of Him who paid it all and counts to us His own righteousness. Let us serve Him.

How did Christ's obedience get to those before the cross? Did they have a different Savior, a different God? The Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. Nothing about his obedient life transferred to those saints or any saints ever. When you hear someone say Jesus obeyed the law for us you need to run as they are not preaching the bible. John Darby and John Calvin could have been room mates. They both were heretics. When did the Church start? Deut 7: Holy people who serve God and love him and keep his commandments. Rom 8, Flesh hate God and cannot obey him. Those remnant sheep were in Christ, God's church. Exodus 15:13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased. 17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. 18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever. God's holy habitation, the Jerusalem above, his Mount Zion, Sion, house of the Lord, house of God is his Church, it is Christ's church. "I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever". All saints will. Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, They spend their whole lives reading the bible but then listen to a heretic who is clueless. It is all over the place. John Piper claims we are not under the law of God. It says do not let sin reign over you for you are not under the law of sin, of sin and death, of condemnation. Totally twisting Paul and the whole bible actually. Just amazing as he has written how many books and is still clueless. They sound so good but what is underneath it all? RC Sproul claims that Romans 8 and Mathew 5 and 1 John 3 is Christ obeying for us. Just read the bible and see what a false so called theologian he was. We are the doers of the law, we walk in the Spirit, in the righteousness of the law. We must be righteous. Christ's life was without blemish to wash away our past sins and empower us to walk in the Spirit. We confess and are cleansed again and that is justification and will be our salvation if we endure. Eternal security? Another false teaching that goes with saved or justified forever. We go through the gate and walk on the path. If we fall off and can't get back we are lost. The thief made it through the gate, he loved, he obeyed, he had faith. Just a little fruit but that was all it took because Jesus knew his heart. They always bring him up to try and prove obedience or love is not required. That is Satanic. Love me and obey me. Show me that you love me and that is how we will be judged. Every man will be judged for his works, unto death or unto eternal life. Ezekiel 18: 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
