Sesquicentennial Stories: 2011 - 2015

The 150th anniversary of the American Civil War has yielded many commemorations across Minnesota. Governor Mark Dayton appointed a task force to work alongside the Minnesota Historical Society and others to expand the understanding and appreciation of the significance of the Civil War.
Task force member Darryl Sannes highlights outcomes from the four-year effort (2011 - 2015) and preeminent Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer identifies what has changed since the centennial anniversary 50 years earlier.
