are the drain plugs left hand thread? is this a safety thing or does it have another reason?

Good catch! For some reason my phone decided to flip the image.. it is a normal right hand thread.

@@NextGenerationMechanic haha that was my other hypothesis, although i have seen left hand threads used on high pressure cannisters as a signal that you are handeling something that is dangerous.

I would not recommend it.. airplanes engines need other additives than motorcycle engines I think.
