I still use a method I learned back in 2011. All hatcheries on 4, main hatch on 5 nat on 6 third on 7 (along with each hatcheries queen) then 5-5-e-click, 6-6-e-click etc. I guess this was Idra’s method. But it feels slow compared to how new age zergs inject

My problem with this is my queens walking all over the place if they don’t have energy or it one hatch for whatever reason don’t have a queen near it yet or lost one.

I usually go spacebar to jump between bases, E for inject, shift and multiple clicks. If I have one good encounter I can then just make a horde of zerglings and just A click across the map.

Yeah this seems way faster, idk why they supposedly do the method shown in this video Once you get 5+ bases, you might not have cam hotkeys for every base all the time, meanwhile spacebar to jump between bases doesn't require hotkeys

i used to do this method but then It would drag 1 queen from another base if it didn't have energy

this method doesn't pull queens, do not hold shift. If a base doesn't have a queen don't try to inject it

my queens from other bases always start to run to the other hatcheries. im missing something

this is definietly not what i saw once when Serral spayed 5 hatceries in half sec.

I played 10k games of SC2 and I didn't use control groups, nvm this stuff, fml I wanted a strategy game not a mechanics apm game. Good guide tho.

i mean, you don’t have to do this, you can just f1+box+inject. Also, are you really "playing" if you dont use mechanics ingrained in the game? how would you do if u want to defend ur 3rd, send a runbuy, and defend ur main at the same time without using control groups?

Unfortunately this is why RTS and Blizzard RTS aren't really a strategy games - they are a genre of itself. RTS are more like a manager games (especially Blizzard RTS) where you micro manage all your stuff all the time and then occasionally you do big macro strategy decisions. RTS games were called strategy games mostly because they needed to be labeled in a way that would be familiar to the players, so players would actually buy these games. There is nothing wrong with this tho, it's just adds a bit of confusion.
