Oh Tara, i have laughed with you, been angry for you, went through life transitions with you, and now I’m crying with you. It’s crazy how the internet can make you feel so close to someone without meeting. I have been watching you since you moved to LA and you have always been my comfort KZreadr. Im 28 and have related so much to you over the years! It’s cute because My dad and I watch your travel vlogs together and when you guys do renovations. When I told him Tara’s mom is sick, he said Tara Michelle? (Lol made me giggle because we have never met you but you have given us a lot of happiness) You have a similar family set up to me where I am so close to my family and I even live 30 minutes away from them in my own apartment and I still visit them every week, even multiple times a week. So i can’t imagine how you’re feeling. What I will say is your family has brought my family so many laughs and just warm energy and now I get to send you some back. I think this is the saddest video I have watched you make. I my have seen family members go through cancer. Its the shock of seeing your family member being ill and go through trauma, letting your mum know you are there for her everyday to support her is the way to get through this scary time, it's like ripples in a pond it effects everyone. Try to give yourself time to grieve and seek out cancer support groups which will help you get through this, sending you and your family my best wishes, xxxxxx

This to your MOM: hi mama so 1-if you think you have one girl that’s not true you have Tens of thousands of girls 2-you got this! You’re a mom you got the super power to win this fight 3- I will keep you in my prayers along with my dad.. he’s fighting pancreatic cancer for almost 2 years now. To YOU Tara: I promise you everything you going through is normal Sometimes you will feel that this is not real, it is a bad dream, and sometimes you will feel inside your soul that the family energy will overcome all of this and it will become a memory. I know you got this, but live with it as Mama will recover 100% and she is not in critical condition. Always remind yourself of the positive, “The cancer is not spread, the tumor can be removed -“some cancer can’t be removed even if the tumor is small because it’s on An artery like my father's tumor so he’s on chemotherapy for life! Operation is not an option for him”, we have great medical services.”

I just said a prayer for your mom. I've been putting off making an appointment for a bad cough/chest discomfort I've had for 3 months now and I just made one for Monday. Thank you for being vulnerable. I truly don't know what to say other than I will be thinking of you guys and want the absolute best for your mom. Her genuineness really shows on camera.

First, I want to applaud your bravery for talking about this, when I know it's hard for you. I also wanted to give you some encouragement ... my mom has beat lung cancer THREE times. The second time, it got up in her vocal cords and when the doctors went to cut it out, they accidentally partially cut one of the vocal cords, so she sounds like she's permanently got a cold and lost her voice, which is hard for someone who is super social and loves talking with people. I only bring it up to use as an example that my mom is a fighter, and so is yours! Your mom has the best attitude and with her family by her side, she'll overcome this! You've got a community rooting for y'all! Blessings to you and your family!

My mom had stage 4 breast cancer when I was younger, I’m not going to sugar coat it, it is f*ing hard to watch them go through this, but it’s so wonderful celebrating them when they made it past the finish line and they can thrive again. Your mom has got this. Cancer treatment is more of a marathon than a sprint and a positive attitude makes more difference than you think. I just "graduated" from the surgical portion of my own cancer treatment and will continue with the medication for the next three and a half years. Just show her love and support and realize that people handle this in their own ways. I choose not to let cancer define who I am - this is just a bump in the road.

Hearing how your mom is so easy going regarding her treatment, and is participating in a trial for her cancer is so amazing. My sister in law was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer as a teenager, and the moment she was diagnosed she said Gods got this. She also participated in trials with her cancer, and even was the first child in Seattle to participate in a trial that’s now helping kids with their tumors. The journey watching your loved ones endure such trials and tribulations is so hard, but so eye opening. You get to view them in another light, and your love and appreciation for them just grows.

I teared up so much - I am old enough to be your Mother (57) I have watched you since 2020 - having a daughter of my own who’s grown married and gone - I find comfort in watching you live your 20’s - I was very close to my daughter in her 20’s so many memories - hold everyone of your memories and share them with your Mom “hey, Mom remember when you went over to the Witches house “😉- the parts of your family that they allow to share are so fun and your Mom is a lovely gentle , yet strong get it done kinda gal. She shows this to us in the fact that she wanted you to share this very personal information. As we age especially after 50 life looks very different and you and your family sharing this - reminded me what matters - I immediately sent some love texts - thank you and your Sweet Momma for giving us this reminder. Oh, Tara. I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this. I just spent the last 3 years watching my dad fight a rare eye cancer and my mom fight a rare leukemia simultaneously. My dad lost his battle in February and my mom was diagnosed with a second cancer last May and had surgery 10 days after my dad passed. It is so scary to get that news with a loved one and all I can say is just to be as present as you can. To be fair, no one truly knows the "correct" way on how to process these things. I'd encourage you to find support groups for people and family/caregivers dealing with the same type of cancer, I did that with the Ocular Melanoma group. It was so helpful for me while we supported dad with it, it makes you feel less isolated. I know it's scary, but stay positive and give your mama my best. Rooting for her fight down in Texas!

U have to advocate for yourself when u know something is wrong. I was told I was too young and I was fine.. finally someone listened and did the tests.. stage 3B colon cancer! Did all the surgeries and chemo and am alive 15 yrs now later. Sending love and hugs to u all!

I lost my dad last September, 4 months after his lung cancer diagnosis. We never expected it and it happened so fast. He had been slowing down over the year prior but the dr just kept saying “well you’re not getting any younger” It’s sooooo important to advocate for yourself when you feel changes in your body.
