Sir, thank you for your quality and comprehensive practicals/explanations. Please I want to know, since the same voltage drop flows across the two bulbs, would the lower rated lamp 9w break or die in the long run (i.e if left for a long time). Thank you sir

No no no. It's not like that. Except there's a surge or power quality issues where the voltage goes too high than normal. And that can affect any electrical appliance irrespective of their wattage rating.
