"Yes soon, the 2020's was bad, really really bad, but then Stefan invented the classic blended Enzo Ottobit combo you know, or BEOC as you kids now call it, and that was great stuff, really really great, so at least we had that going for us, which was nice". This pedal is such a good addition to a small mixer or as you do, use it instead of a mixer for a small pedal heavy synth sett. It also deserves loads of attention and I seriously think this tool has the possibility to if not revolutionise so at least have a great impact on the sound of the times. Even putting two of the same pedals, like two Afterneaths on different settings in the blend could be interesting. And btw, you asked on instagram what pedals we thought are beautiful. I like the look of that OBNE Haunt with the cats on.

@@thepedalzone I enjoyed it wherry much tank you : ) My predictions are not what they used to be but I guess that we in the near future will see some guys sitting on the floor with their guitar laying next to them with more than one of these pedals here on YT. Another guess is that digital archivists on day will mess up and call you mr pedalson. Or maybe not but Pedalson sounds like a good epic guitarist name anyway.

Dude, better take a look at the Klein Bottle then: It's the bigger, older and more experienced brother of this Signal Blender, and has low/high pass filtering on each channel, and can feedback each channel into each other channel. You could literally capture your sounds going round in an infinite loop through your pedals :D Sure, it takes a while to learn, but it's now the irreplaceable heart of my pedalboard, it's glorious!

I've been running things in parallel since the mid-'80s. I've made myself a few splitter/mixer modules for my home-made modular system, and built a dry-lift switch into the delay module in the collection, so I could shape the delay signal tone independently from the dry signal. I also made myself a BBD-based very short delay (0.5-9msec) for the purpose of time staggering two overdrive sounds before mixing them. The goal is to be able to mimic what one might get when close-micing one amp and mic-ing another from a distance in the same room. I look forward to experimenting with it.

Always interesting, and beautiful. I have 2 EHX Tri Parallel pedals. I have a Boss SY1 in one loop, a Boss Harmonist in one, and I use one loop to send the signal in stereo, to my 2nd amp, and another for sending the signal to a 3rd dry amp. I also have one loop for the Mythos Argonaut octave fuzz. There are so many different things you can do, and I'm still experimenting. I have my delays and other modulation running through my Katana head effects loop. It can get crazy. But you have all those cool Meris pedals, and the KMA stuff. Maybe one day I can afford to get me one of those..PLus! that Mood pedal. Maybe I can get one used, someday. Thanks for the ideas, and the beautiful stuff you make. Stay safe!

There's also KMA's "Tyler the Frequency Splitter", which has just 2 channels but comes with filtering options and a very intuitive 'blend' control. Really fun and immediate pedal. Another option could be the BoredBrainFX blending unit, which has more elaborate filtering/blending options, never tried that one though. (I only sold mine cause I have a Klein Bottle, which is the undisputed king of loop-blenders-crossfaders-filtering-feedback thingies, but probably overkill for most...)

Bravo man.

I pass my pedal board through a small mixer, before my signal goes to a stereo amp. VOX and rythm channels combine with multiple parallel signals from the pedal board. I plug my guitar signal into a triple splitter. My output channels can be more though. Serial and parallel combinations do different things that you can't seriously go without. Endless fun. SO I'm crazy for all kinds of signal Splitters, blenders and switchers!

thanks for posting this up. I’ve been looking at this devise but was having trouble sussing it out. And I’ll say this again, with your compositional chops it’s a shame you haven’t released a CD or a digital download of your work. Andy and Bill are superb in their own right and I follow them also but i would pay good bucks to have your works in heavy rotation on my listening play list.... and your tone/texture just speaks to me. When you record these sessions what is your recording signal chain? I’ve been playing sixty years now and just got a Boomerang so I’m back to square one, a total noob haha... you’re inspiring to say the least, thanks again.

This is great! And the sonic landscapes you created with these pedals are perfect. For the first time I'm a bit stuck with the signal flow I have in mind. I might be needing three of those signal blenders, but that would be rediculous. If the guys from OBNE are reading this, what about a second version of this pedal, but with two expression pedal outputs to control the volume of the red signal and the blue signal? That would be killer! What? I could just as well use two volume pedals for it? Hmmmm...., I guess so, but still... 😁
