    @Yellow Penguin My concern is also corossion gathering from humidity. Generally speaking, you'd expect the remote to be placed close to the bath and since everyone likes hot steaming water...well, I hope the remote is gap-proof.

    Yellow Penguin I should have been more specific. I wasn’t talking about conductive capabilities of the steam. I’m more concerned about corossion appearing from the humidity. I sincerely doubt the remote is gap-proof, since it probably runs on batteries, which need to be periodically replaced. Meaning there should be a lid. And I’m not convinced that lid is completely gap-proof and/or water-resistant. Also, I’m not british.

    I'd love to know what he spent his own million on. I mean, I see a bathtub with a temperature sensor, and the either a weight sensor or some sort of infra-red distance detector for the depth, then a servo operated tap, all controlled by a few basic microcontrollers in a little water proof case and connected to a WiFi module. Not seeing a million quid of research and design there.

    Admittedly, the business plan he put together was rubbish and full of holes, but his product is genius. You can program your bath (via your mobile) to provide you with the correct temperature.

    The moment Kelly Hoppen asked that question to Peter Jones "Do you use it (the self filling bath)", he replied "no" and she replied "exactly, no one does" the guy should have turned round and walked straight out. His pitch was dead at that moment. The Dragons rely on each others buisness experience to make decisions as much as their own. In that moment you have one of the most successful interior designers in the country (one that has designed just about every type of interior, at every cost level imaginable) telling you she thinks your interior design tech gadget is pointless and a complete waste of money.... But at least it was fun to watch Deborah get to mock his future projections.

    @@digital_oni I would say that a toe or foot is more sensitive to heat changes than a hand. You can touch things well above the temperature of a bath with your hand, I wouldn't want to do that with my toes.
