It's trippy like NGE. It takes a bit to get going (Luckily way less time than Evangelion) but when it does it keeps on going until the final second.

I rated many animes 10 but only once I saw Lain I discovered the scale goes up to 100

Be prepared to encounter mindfuck when you watch it, it's very complex and deep

I haven’t watched the show but if you split lain in half here it’s like she has 2 different haircuts. One with neat bangs and hairclips and one more wild maybe even a middle part. Symbolizing how she’s stuck between 2 worlds.

I'm old enough to remember when Lain was a harbinger of a time that was yet to come. Though I doubt the time we are in now was the one she thought we'd bring about.
