That fucking roll back and pass. He does that small thing and takes one player out. Greatest CDM ever. Makelele showed how important that position is, Busquets Redefined it and took it a level above. One of the most intelligent players. He replaced Yaya (who was the best in that position that time). and his composure on ball is impeccable

Teams in the past used to pressure and mark Messi only thinking it's the solution but still lose (Barca vs RM 5-0). If you've noticed in the last couple of seasons they now pressure Sergio and try to isolate him to paralyze the team which results mistakes and wrong passes.

when i was younger about 14-15 i used to say messi and iniesta too but as i got older and realised this mans brilliance.Messi is still my favourite player but busquets is my role model for playing football beacuse i realised very very fast what messi does cann't be done by anyone else.So i try to implement the philosophy this man has as a football player that is connecting the play,not panicking under pressure and instead of trying long shots as a mid feilder it is better to keep the ball from opponents possession.

And if u show this to any Madrista they all will still say(Except some) that Casemiro is better cuz he is young and all that shit. Casemiro may tackle and intercept more, but Busquets is a great passes whereas Casemiro isn't really known for his passing, Busquets is the best CDM in the world in my opinion.

He is soooooo underrated. I can understand why some people might not like him because of some incidents in the past but you have to admire that he is the best defensive midfielder ever.

the first couple of touches busquets have in a game tells me if he will have a good game ! and when he does barca plays magisterial football...his Fifa card is a joke...#legend

Busquet's positioning and movement for the first goal was exceptional.

I remember during a game last season, Ray Hudson recalled an interview done with the barcelona squad, where all of them voted Busquets as the best handler of the ball on the team. Not messi, not iniesta, not neymar, but busquets. In some ways, he's just a tall, defensive version of messi.

Really man! Whenever he has a bad day or does not start, the team suffers.A very recent and prominent example being the 1st leg against Juventus last season, Juve were able to dominate us in the midfield, and the biggest reason was that Busi was suspended for that match. I really appreciate that you took your time to give a tribute to the engine that this team has been thriving on for a good part of the last decade. Though he is starting to get some of the appreciation he deserves, but still he is way way under-rated.I can confidently say that whenever barca was unstoppable he had the biggest part to play in that. For me he was the most irreplaceable among that Xavi-Iniesta-Busi trio. No offense to Xavi and Iniesta, i have massive respect for them too. But Busi was just neglected in comparison to his abilities. Thanks a lot for the video. I hope before the time comes for his to hang up his boots, he trains his successor aptly, whoever it may be.

Our 2nd most important player behind Messi. He is the key to our team and how the team plays as a whole. Messi no matter what will always play outstanding, but some games if Busquets isn't playing, the team falls apart. Those games we have to rely on Messi's genius to carry us. Busquets is so heavily underrated it's criminal. Greatest DM in history, and top 3 most intelligent players in history as well.
