Sergio Assad and David Tanenbaum discuss Kazuhito Yamashita's performance of all 6 Bach Cello Suites in a single day. That day happened to be during San Francisco's fleet week and the Navy's Blue Angels nearly attended the concert.
This was part of Omni Foundation's 2015 Dynamite Guitar Series.

Man, would love to see more Yamashita concerts here in YT... or, of course, attend one!

Where is the video of concert? We need it, please!!!
I heard an saw Kazuhito with 'Pictures at an exibition' of Mussorsky in the 'Concertgebouw' (1980? or earlier...) and we were suprised and didn't really knew, what was happening... but I think, we were the first in Europe...
It appears that the concert was recorded, I wonder if it is available.

I'm sorry, but recording wasn't permitted for this concert. There were only a few seconds of video taken without audio to illustrate the conversation.
As always, no video recording.
Awesome yes, but Zuill Bailey did all 6 on the cello at one sitting 50 TIMES, the last one with NO breaks, for audience or performer.
