For anyone wondering about the origin of this song, the original name is "Agua De Beber" by Antonio Carlos Jobim. The melody is slightly different, most likely for copyright reasons. As for the name Sergei Mantis, you're not going to find anything else by him. "Sergei Mantis" is a play on words for "Sergio Mendes", a famous Brazilian jazz musician who was very prominent in the 60's, which is the time where MGS3 takes place.

yo that's mad i was just listening to loads of Jobim then thought of this song cause i released it sounds similar to him, that makes complete sense tho it's actually a Jobim composition. I'm gonna listen to the original now tho thanks man.

Whether its smoking Cubans and drinking bourbon, or just doing the dishes LOL this could just always be playing in the background and I'll start vibing to it! (Also love saying, "fuck stealth!" And going full auto unsuppressed n MGS4 to this lmao)

I played this song while facing screaming mantis. Epic results.

The best timing for me to tune to this song on the codec back then was when I was against Volgin. Fight was tough as balls for me back then, and both me and Naked Snake needed that break from this (in paper) kinda unfair fight.

@@cyanidesandwiches I just got done playing Mgs3 a few weeks ago. Now I’m with Solid 4 and I’m doing quite well in it. I’m on my first play through right now. I only killed during the frog unit part with Meryl and the boys. I’m playing on the big boss hard difficulty so it ain’t the highest but it’s still challenging nonetheless.

This is going on my list of summer tunes along with Green Onions (Booker T & the MGs) and Summer Samba (Walter Wanderley)!

oh yeah! let's go to boracay! watch the sun down and enjoy ourselves in the beautiful ocean and the world's finest white sand!

I don't recall the artist being Nujabes at all, I think someone fed misinformation. Bossanova-esque jazz just isn't his style. Norihiko Hibino produced the soundtrack, and all the Healing Radio song names and artists names are a parody around popular artists that would have existed at the time MGS3 took place in, nevertheless I don't know if he was the composer, or if he simply got various artists to make music, all that we know is that the truth is clouded by the names chosen to represent them. If the artist was actually Nujabes, then he'd gotten me by surprise. I've been listening to him since I discovered him through Samurai Champloo, never would I think that this song was his.

Nah what happened is someone made a very popular playlist with every song in it made by Nujabes except one. it is written "(Sergei Mantis)" next to it (int he description of said playlist) but people just think it was his previous artist name or that this was a collaboration.

alucard2d Well just like in GTA in bully scholarship you've got several save points, and since it's a game about highschool with its nerds,jocks,etc.. and preps who are the riches of the school, when you get respect from them you get to save at their point, good luck in your research
