I've had such a luck to be there and watch it live, the crowd was so loud that when Jokic scored the Sombor shuffle(3p from one leg) the arena erupted. For me it was the best basketball game so far.

the serbians are a tough crowd to play against (so are the greeks). There is a documentary about the golden generation of Argentina (generación dorada), in which they say that the toughest game was not the semis vs the US, but the quarters vs Greece. A crowd of 18 thousand against them at the O.A.K.A in Athens. The argentinean fans are known for travelling pretty much anywhere in the world and making a difference in the game. What you likely saw at the FIFA World Cup is their standard when their teams have at least a glimpse of a shot. This is one of the few truly road games I've seen Argentina playing in any sport

Man! Props to Joker for playing for his Country. He played a full season, plus a full post season; that's a lot of mileage for a big guy. I don't think anyone would fault him for prioritizing rest in the off season

Jokic is like a computer generated player to win that has escaped playstation to play with real live players... no matter how, he wins. He might do moves no humans have ever done if necessary to win, no problem. He has not been programed to play like a human, just to win.

@@oliverl.9004 Strictly 1v1 on low-post Jokic has an edge over Giannis because he's stronger and more skilled. Agility advantage there is not that important. The only defensive play of Jokic on Giannis was at 8:32 and it ended with an airball. Of course Greece was not looking for that matchup. Other way around Giannis cant stop consistently Jokic and that's why Serbia used that play too much over the 4Q and OT.

@@killua5081 regardless of your "national pride" or whatever you may display here, both of them are pretty comparable stat wise. Is Jokic stronger? Debatable. More skilled? Debatable. On average, Giannis is the better defender. On shooting percentage and assists, Jokic is better. Giannis is the better scorer, Jokic the better rebounder. Giannis is more athletic, Jokic has the higher basketball IQ. It's not that big of a difference as you seem to suggest. Both of them are MVP winners and caliber. There is no one of the two who is "much better" than the other. And the most important fact: basketball is a team sport. It's not about individuals. Serbia is the better team, that's a fact. And you can't really judge an individual player based on singular plays. It's like saying Lebron is trash, just because he was posterized once in a game. Please refrain from this cringy national bragging. We saw an awesome game with two of the best basketball players in the world, and the better team won.

Is this even a Basketball game? No flopping, No crybabies, No rigged matches, No blind and biased referees.

Everyone wrote everything about how good this game was, and I totally agree. I cant help noticing though *and pls dont get me wrong* the two lucky Serbian 3-pointers right before the end of the full time: one by Jaramaz (2'09'' before ft) and the other one by Jokic (1'34'' before ft where he just threw the ball at almost 0'' of the attack) = 6 lucky points which led to extra time.

What did I just watch? That was great basketball! Whoooowow!!
