No that is actually no true at all. The only fans that I know of that do something similar to Brazilians are the Polish and French fans, but never to the degree of the Brazilian fans. Watch any game that does not include those 3 countries. The fans cheer then their team gets a point and is silent for a majority of the game. Brazilians on the other hand cheer when they get a point, but also incessantly boo and berate the opposing team during their serve routine. But you could say volleyball is a sport that should have that kind of atmosphere, but how about when the Brazilians did the same kind of hostile behavior, during a swimming race, a track race, a pole vault even, and even the gymnastics event. Like how is that kind of behavior acceptable in any of the those events where concentration is literally the key to winning. During the Olympic did you know how many times the referees for races had to quiet the crowd in order to start the race? Literally every single race's start had to redone because of how the Brazilian crowd acted. Also how can a crowd of people be so malicious, ill-spirited, and hostile when it comes to someone else competing against the host nation's athlete. During the men's gymnastics, the Brazilian crowd cheered whenever an opposing country's athlete made a mistake or had a unforced error; and when the previous Olympic champion in pole vaulting lost to his Brazilian rival and friend the crowd booed when the Frenchmen went up to the podium to receive the silver medal. Even the Brazilian gold medalist for the polevault even said that it was uncalled for and had motioned for the crowd to quiet down during the competition.

KingofSnails I don't like boos but when you become an athlete you have to be ready for all atmospheres,in 2009,the world league final was in serbia,brazilx serbia,the Serbian fans booed,they threw things at our athletes and the referees were clearly stealing many of our points,and you know what happened?we won't the game,because you don't become an athlete to be applauded, you become an athlete because you love it,and the concentration is within you no matter what,I don't agree with the boos,but what you're gonna do?arrest these people?they paid for the ticket.ps. the french athlete was booed because he was being arrogant with other athletes and that was show on the big screen,the crowd saw it and booed him,thats why.if you're good,you're gonna win
