Island on her video for this song represent Corfu island, secret place for us. Our solderts recoverd there during the WWI, lots of them died and beried in Ionian sea. Therefore, we are forever greatfull to Greece

Ova pesma nije bajka, ima pozadinu stradanja srpskog naroda u Prvom svetskom ratu. Ramon da je cvet koji se dize iz pepela i dovoljna je samo kap vode da bi dozivela. Pesma poci je sa morem i stenama koji predstavljaju Plavu grobnicu, mesto u moru gde su za vreme Prvog svetskog rata 2/3 srpski boraca sahranjeno. I mi kao narod smo vaskrsli. Zato ova pesma nije bajka, nego priča o jednom narodu, njegovom stradanju, ali i njegovom vaskrsenje. Dize se iz pepela jedna LILA RAMONDA. ​@@SculptExpress-gv8jp

My favorite Serbian entry since Molitva!

She said in the interview after the finals that the performance will be changed in Malmo (in a good way) because they couldn’t do certain things in RTS studio so I really hope that on the big stage in Sweden it will be even more powerful and impactful. The thing I love the most here is that she wrote the lyrics and also was included in making the song - that’s why you feel it is honest and so connected with her! I get goosebumps every single time i listen this song and i can’t wait to hear it again! 💜🪻

Teya was my personal favorite for this years PZE. Very happy she won. It is a good quality balade with a wonderful message of hope. She did good with the staging. I am almost certain it will qualify. I am not expecting spectacular results at ESC, but will be proud to cheer for her and sing for ramondas to bloom again in May. ❤

**Ramonda serbica aka Serbian ramonda it is typically found in cool, damp, shaded environments. It is known for its ability to be revived when watered, even when fully dehydrated. In Serbia it is used as a symbol of Armistice Day in World War.** ...And theres no one to guide me Because all the stars are asleep The world and every flower is in flames Where did all the lilac ramondas disappear?... If anyone is interested, here is an analysis: 1. Ramonda is a rare purple flower that grows on Mount Rtanj in Serbia and is known as the “Phoenix flower”. It can survive in harsh environments and can “revive” itself after dehydrating with only a drop of water. It was used as a symbol of the Serbian people in WW1 during which Serbia lost 1/4 of its population. 2. There are several lines in the lyrics that reference the famous exodus of the Serbian people (along with the king and the army) who travelled by foot over Montenegrin and Albanian mountains to Greece in harsh winter of 1915. Around 240.000 people died on the journey and were buried at sea in a Greek Island in what is known as “The Blue Tomb”. The line “there, under the water, everything is dead silent” is a reference to that. Furthermore, another line states “there’s nobody left to guide me towards the morning star” again symbolizing the life in them fading as well as the fading hope of the Serbian people and utter desperation that we would perish in the war. Then you have “The world burns, every flower dies, where have the purple Ramondas vanished” = where have all the Serbs gone? The song ends with “A single purple Ramonda rises from the ashes” symbolizing hope and just like the Ramonda flower resurrects, so do the Serbs.

There are a few more meanings connected to the current opression of Serbs in Kosovo, but I love someone’s comment: “patriotic without being exclusive”. Perfect. The main point of the song is, however, rising like a phoenix after all the darkness we are surrounded in today’s world. That’s very hopeful and needed today.🌸
