Sequre MSS12 solder station - Full test and review

Ғылым және технология

A very common question I'm asked is "What is a good make of soldering iron?"
This is the Sequre MSS12 solder station. It's impressive and currently, it's less than £50. One thing I didn't show in the video is the PD 3.0 port where you can use a PD 3.0 power supply (commonly known as a fast charger for a phone). I haven't got one so I couldn't show it working.
Here's a link to the one I have:

They also sell tips (standard T12):

Sequre products are always top quality and this is an impressive bit of kit, so I hope I've finally answered your question 😁

That looks like a great piece of kit for the price I was impressed how well it melted that solder on that strip board on top of that aluminium block. Thanks for the review.

That's a great price for a good iron. Only I already bought a TS100 I would go for it.

it looks like the plug and socket are the wrong way round, is the male socket still live when the tip is not plugged in?

Tony question...🤔🤔 Can i use "audison cable POWERFLOW" for phase wires (motor - controller)...??? It's silicone wire very flexible, red colour 6 mm outside, 4 mm copper.. On the cable right.."VERY HIGH CURRENT CAPABILITY CABLE - MULTIPLE TWIST WINDING CONFIGURATION" I Rewind my motors and upgrade phase wires with 10 awg silicon (i will buy them) or with audison cable (i already have from my car audio wires)...🤷

If it's thicker than your current phase wires and you're stuck then yes, you can use it. With DC, the less strands the better because it handles the current better, it's less susceptible to interference and less susceptible to corrosion. That's why phase wires always have a lot less strands.
