Dave's demo was 👍 it's made me want this so badly, which is rare, as i tend to weigh up gear with a CBR before i get the card out.

My first video with this will involve, connecting my Pro-2 CV outs to the Pro-3 CV Ins, and then taking the Pro-3 CV Outs and routing them to the Pro-2 ins. Then the sequencers will be instructed to "duel-away" and blow my mind in a round trip of sequenced control voltage mayhem.

@@gordonbennett7931 Well, I was until my day 1 pre-order just got pushed back to April here in Canada, so I cancelled it and started watching videos about the Matriarch..

@@sonicneutronic I was actually on the verge of getting a Korg minilogue xd myself as I used to own the monologue and loved it for making sequences. Was going to get the XD as a potential replacement and additional voices......then the Pro 3 got announced. The ability to go dirty/industrial with this bad boy and the more powerful sequencer (ability to have 4 different 16 step sequences at different lengths or the ability to link all 4) was a no brainer. Personally I'm happy to wait for it here in the UK. The Matriarch looks good but for me I want the ability to save patches. If you have the money for both then maybe you should go for it as let's face it, you know you'll be back for the Pro 3 when it becomes available ;)

@@gordonbennett7931 What has happened is that over the past few days, I've really been playing much deeper with the Pro-2 and it's absolutely superb. Wasn't sure about for a while but you need to spend time on it........ I will be back for the Pro-3 for sure, but I've lost that edge for needing it day 1. Matriarch is probably out for the reasons you describe...and I really should spend more time with the 4 big synths I bought since August last year lol.....

@@sonicneutronic haha, yeah I should really spend more time and be more content with what I have instead of lusting after another synth. I have room for one more in my set up and had pretty much made up my mind about the XD. The rest as I've said is history. Regarding the Pro 3, I reluctantly sold a MEK about 2 years ago as I really didn't like the user interface (despite loving the industrial sounds you could make with it). Some of the sounds I'm hearing from the Pro 3 go in that ball park and the user interface will be so more intuitive and less time consuming when making patches. It could be close to being the perfect synth for what I'm looking for.

The wrong hands? That's Dave Smith who created this synth, and Sequential is HIS company. Clearly you know nothing about synthesizers.
