Sepultura has always been that band that I always saw treading the line between thrash and death metal.

To be never was logic compare Sepultura to Anthrax, Metallica, Exodus... for me Sepultura has something unique like Death, even the name “Sepultura” = Grave in portuguese.

Healthy helping of hardcore in everything they did

I remember how pleased I was to see the inner leaflet of sepulturas second album, showing the guys in the band with a hand drawn death logo behind them. that respect goes a long way.

I like how people still refer to Derrick Green as the 'new Sepultura singer', he has been in the band for over 21 years! It's almost like AC/DC's Brian Johnson, who sang for that band longer than Bon Scott was even alive :D Not bad for the 'new guy' huh?

it's because ever since the new guy the music has sucked. Well actually it started a bit before the new guy arived, but basically it's entirely different era to this band. There was the godly Thrash era and then the rest

Sounds really similar to the original...I think the drums sound a bit better but the vocals are too quiet, although some of the lyrics are easier to understand

Se não me engano, esse cover só saiu como bônus na versão japonesa do disco e no lado b de The Age of the Atheist.

They gave this a good shot. They have my respect even more. Loved Sepultura since I was 16, and Death since I was 20, and this is a good cover, all apart from the solo :s

Kinda falls flat without the backing guitar parts. Ah well ..

This music is when the influencer is influenced by the influenced (a.k.a Death would inspire Sepultura several years later to make that music, even though Sepultura was the inspiration for Death).

I just told a friend this morning that if I had to choose between Scream Bloody Gore and Schizophrenia, it would be tough to decide which one I like better. And now this... 😊🤘🤘🤘
