This new video just showed up on my phone. I was just getting back into growing microgreens and forgot some of the details I learned from your videos last year. I grow them for my health and rejuvenation. (I just turned 80.) You are a great inspiration and source of knowledge. I have a 16x30 foot solar heated greenhouse and an outdoor vegetable garden. I show younger garden helpers how to grow vegetables and microgreens and they help me with the labor.

Sun Golds are AWESOME. So are Super Sweet 100s. I have the best luck with cherry tomatoes in general, bigger bois are pretty hit or miss in my area.

tip...for the squash use thuricide bt which is organic make the mix according with the instructions, take a syringe and inject the mixture to the steam where the caterpillar is.. inject several places..wait one day and repeat...wait a couple of days and repeat that will take care of the problem, that is if is not too late.

Great update! Congratulations on the fence and your new dog. Last year gardening on Long Island sucked. It was way too cold and damp late into summer. I look forwards to seeing all the progress this summer. Be well.

Thanks for all the videos, I’m getting ready to get a few racks going, and have been inspired by all of the content you’ve shared, question for you; @donnygreens have you experimented with using a rainbird system to bottom water? Or are you more inclined towards a flood irrigation system? What’s your thoughts?

  • @DonnyGreens

Not sure what a rainbird system is but if i were going to automate my watering, the flood and drain system is the go to.

Nasty neighbors suck. I had an almost identical situation to yours. Fence even went directly down there drive as it had been over the property line by 20 ft. Glad to see your progress your making.

Good job. Love this video and you seem very productive with your business and fixing the yard. Only one teeny tiny comment that you might not like. I have a neighbor with a barking dog who barks on and off all day. It shatters my nerves. It doesn't bother my neighbor because the noise is away from her house and adjacent to mine. She has no empathy so I'm glad you are moving your ducks. Your property is so huge that you have lots of placement choices. Being neighborly will bring. you good karma ;-)

  • @DonnyGreens

I totally get it but this was a different scenario. Our ducks aren’t bothering her or them, they are simply nasty people and are controlling and miserable. I would understand if i was a nuisance to them but thats really not the case at all. They’re the ones causing problems and being un-neighborly. Theyve been neighbors to my grandparents for years before i was here and they were terrible to them too. Ill be able to give more info in the future once the BS is settled with the town

How did you prepare the cellar for growing? My cellar is not insulated(I am in Southern Germany). Would you still recommend growing microgreens in there? The second room in the basement is insulated except for the floor. And one more question: Do you recommend using NFD systems? Thanks for the great work!!! Cheers! Alexandra

Donny, Quick question... I buy my microgreen seeds from True Leaf Market and I am having a very hard time getting carrots to grow descent, they grow but not as good as the radish, salad mix and peas. Didn't know if they needed special attention? I'm using the Maxigro 10-5-14 plant food according to the directions (1tsp per gallon of tap water). Thanks in advance.

Carrots are definitely more difficult to grow as a micro than the other basic varieties. Why grow those anyway?
