Honestly what did the people expect. Among all of the martial artists that have devoted their entire life to their martial arts, the VERY ANGRY Spanish man must always win

He could find a way into winning by brawling in way into that path by using unorthodox and unexpected moves. Realistically, though, truly a martial artists devoting their whole lives to martial arts have an obvious advantage. Hopefully this time lapse between Tekken 8 and Tekken 9 (if it ever comes) Miguel will hopefully come back with more new moves because he went to train some martial arts that made him a bigger powerhouse.

I will say the second best match of the tournament, the best was knee vs arslan. Sehpi was giga Chad with honest miguel

Fantastic match. Both players played incredibly well but i believe Sephi was too scared to go for the lows after Joey blocked the first SAV d4,3. Miguel's lows are too good to not use consistently and Jack's poke game is too good to just play passive, even though Sephi is an incredible defensive player.

Yeah the marching stomps, Down Back 4, low into headbutt, and Savage Down Back 3 are amazing lows. It's just hard to use lows in general at this level because not only do the guys Sephi's fighting have the ability to block all the lows seemingly at will, but they can backdash, sidestep, and use movement to get around them rather than blocking them all. Miguel's gotta use those good lows, but it can be really risky. Miguel's a good character, but he doesn't have an advancing stance like Kuni Dash, Feng Roll Dash, or Steve Duck-In so it can be difficult to advance using raw system mechanics to gain ground. It's always impressive to see Sephi take this character to the highest level possible.

@@kylefields3951 Miguel's 50/50 is one of the strongest in the game. His low is too good. I believe that Sephi's Miguel is very predictable. Don't risk it. And only average all the time. And the same beat. I have to get out of line. Jack all the time doing jab, DB3 high crush every now and then. Takes a lot of damage. And you can see that he doesn't have such good movement on that side. He has better movement than that

As someone who doesnt play tekken, i gotta say jack-7 seems so boring to go against. Its basically just constantly low-blocking to not get hit with the jackhammer, then getting single-jabbed over and over as a punish for low-blocking.

NA always needs their commentators ask the audience to openly cheer for the NA players. This distracts the opponent/mindgames, sad man. In EU tournaments u never see this happen, they always keep it respectfull/neutra. EU > NA brah, knee said it himself.

It's a thing called herd mentality. Someone would start the USA chant and people would join in just because. I was in the crowd myself and was cringing hella hard when they were doing the USA chant and I'm from USA. 😆
