I agree. I also think that people of all belief systems can benefit from time set aside for special events and family/friends gatherings to relax and celebrate the gift of life. Her tips on preparing ahead of time are great for those of us caught in the rat race of life. Plan time to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures.

You should see Rabbi Tovia Singer's KZread channel and understand why Jews read the Bible differently and also learn how you as a nonjew can fulfill your role in creating the tikkun olam, world to come, that G-d wants when the messiah comes. G-d created a covenant with the nonjews starting with Noah where nonjews have 7 sets of laws to follow. Later, G-d made the covenant with the Jews and gave them 613 laws. Jews and nonjews each have a unique role to play in G-d's redemption of the world.

I was born and raised in Poland and I remember as a little girl my grandparents telling me how many Polish Jewish people lived in Poland before WWII. My grandfather always said how he loved their stores /businesses they had in our little village/ town. Everyone got along very well. He said, they were very good hard working people. Christian Catholic here and I am originally from a country where priests and people saved Jewish people from Nazis and never let no Jew be killed. I am proud of that in sooo many ways. One Cardinal saved soooo many children and people from harm and to this day Jews that are in my country really happy and accepted and loved. They love my people because of the fact we sheltered them. I am sooo happy to see someone prepare these dishes and learning about your culture. I have never thought of making challah in pans before, but what a wonderful idea. Making a lot of medium sized challah sure beats making one or two large challah. I will have to try it. I LOVE Blueland laundry tabs. I love being able to eliminate those large plastic containers from the landfills.

Hi, Sonya. Beautiful video, as always. I so enjoy and appreciate the joy you have for caring for your family. Thank you for the Blueland discount code. I just placed an order for two hand soap dispensers and some additional hand soap tablets. I've wanted to try them, for a while and figured... why not? Have a happy evening. :)

I’ll bet you have as many gentile viewers like me as you do fellow Jews. Your recipes are a notch above the usual Shabbat fare I’ve sampled. Who knew Oxtails were Kosher? Can’t wait to watch your Passover prep.

Cooking is very difficult if one finds it difficult to multitask. Even if I start at 3pm I am never able to finish before 6pm. Also, using tea lights instead of candles is very clever that way one gets a good 3 hours of light unlike candle sticks that last max 1 hour 30 minutes.
