I agree. I also think that people of all belief systems can benefit from time set aside for special events and family/friends gatherings to relax and celebrate the gift of life. Her tips on preparing ahead of time are great for those of us caught in the rat race of life. Plan time to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures.

You should see Rabbi Tovia Singer's KZread channel and understand why Jews read the Bible differently and also learn how you as a nonjew can fulfill your role in creating the tikkun olam, world to come, that G-d wants when the messiah comes. G-d created a covenant with the nonjews starting with Noah where nonjews have 7 sets of laws to follow. Later, G-d made the covenant with the Jews and gave them 613 laws. Jews and nonjews each have a unique role to play in G-d's redemption of the world.

My dear, Sonja, I have to tell you that I watched another Orthodox Jewish program and I must tell you that this person, although I find her very nice and lovely children, she cannot take your place in my honest opinion. Your recipes and cooking skills are head and shoulders above any other Orthodox Jewish channel. Thank you for all that you do and all that you show us. You have helped me so much you will never know! Bless you, my dear, and your wonderful husband and children. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 You are amazing!!
You have the most wonderful channel on KZread. Your channel is not only informative, but unlike many other channels, there is no political talk, no confrontation, just great family values.
I like how you balance "homemade" with store bought sauces and seasonings. Your breads are gorgeous.

My husband is English, and the first time he saw me do that, he thought i was crazy. I'm glad I'm not the only doing this as part of food prep.
WOW...I'm not Jewish but everything looks so amazing and delicious. So much work but prepping is something I love. Thanks for sharing :)

What a wonderful blessing for your family to have such delicious homemade bread every week!
Thank you for sharing your recipes. So glad to know more about your religion n traditions. Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Love those marble countertops.
Beautiful. Two tips from someone who is bak8ng challah for over 30 years. I use kosher salt it makes a difference. Next I egg the challah put it on 250 for 15 min. To rise then make the temperature up to 350. To finish baking it. (Learned from a professional challah baker). Everything's looks amazing. Live to watch your videos.

You mentioned Jamie Geller in the video, and this is how I discovered your channel. I was looking for recipes and I found Jamie Geller's matzo ball recipe. I am not Jewish but I love your cooking videos! I am actually quite fascinated with your religion and traditions. I was born and raised in Poland and I remember as a little girl my grandparents telling me how many Polish Jewish people lived in Poland before WWII. My grandfather always said how he loved their stores /businesses they had in our little village/ town. Everyone got along very well. He said, they were very good hard working people. I think after Catholics Judaism was the second biggest religion in Poland back than. Anyway, have you visited Poland yet? Thank you for your beautiful videos ❤️

@@madhattersoriginal6258 Of course!! That's why I asked. From her words, one might think that nothing happened to the Jews in Poland. Three million Polish Jews were murdered in the Holocaust!! @@user-yu3mg1wv1p I can't tell if you're being serious.. Polish, and other European Jewish folks, were displaced and forced into death camps. I find it hard to believe you don't know about the Holocaust. Nazi Germany's genocide of tens of millions of Jews and millions of other people they deemed less than.
Christian Catholic here and I am originally from a country where priests and people saved Jewish people from Nazis and never let no Jew be killed. I am proud of that in sooo many ways. One Cardinal saved soooo many children and people from harm and to this day Jews that are in my country really happy and accepted and loved. They love my people because of the fact we sheltered them. I am sooo happy to see someone prepare these dishes and learning about your culture. I wish you all the best and I hope, one day you come and visit Poland first and then my country because Poland adores us too 😃😃🥰🥰🥰.

I'm beginning as a Christian Believer to learn how the shabbat is really celebrated cause I just traditionally being American don't do any work and I usually fast. God let me know last week that I could eat during Shabbat but I have been used to fasting that day which we do on Sundays. This has really been helpful. You have this thang down packed and very well organized. Thanks for sharing

Sonya hi!!! Love your recipes and organization. A tip you will thank me for. Put the eggplants on the fire with aluminum foil. It comes out toasted and fire roasted also and keeps your gas clean. Believe it or not I learnt this from channah.. Jars of fireflies..

I’ll bet you have as many gentile viewers like me as you do fellow Jews. Your recipes are a notch above the usual Shabbat fare I’ve sampled. Who knew Oxtails were Kosher? Can’t wait to watch your Passover prep.
Cooking is very difficult if one finds it difficult to multitask. Even if I start at 3pm I am never able to finish before 6pm. Also, using tea lights instead of candles is very clever that way one gets a good 3 hours of light unlike candle sticks that last max 1 hour 30 minutes.
yes please tell us how you bless your bread. loved watching you baking my fav bread.
