I moved back to the states recently after living in Yongsan for four years. This video got me feeling very nostalgic! So happy to see Yunjudang featured- her makgeolli class is a lot of fun. I know you've got a favorite samgyetang place already, but I highly recommend 간원정 삼계탕. Traditional hanok style restaurant, and lots of cute cafes nearby for dessert.

I'd highly recommend White Rabbit, befriended the guy running it and he's so hospitable. The have highballs and whiskey! On that same street there is Coley's, you'll see a lot of foreigners there so its a safe bet if you want to meet other english speakers who traveling like you are!

PLEASE make this a series! That would mean the world to me and I guess lots of other people who like to travel to Korea. It is just so hard to find the good places in one area, so you don't have to waste time going back and forth. Could you do a video on Gangnam-gu next? I know it is a very obvious one, but when I was there I felt like it is very hard to find actually "good" places there. As a tourist your left with walking from one subway station to the next, hoping you have caught a sense of what this huge construct of Gangnam is...

Sissel this was so good! the quality and the feel of the video was so nice! i just returned from almost 2 months in Seoul and wish this came out a little earlier BUT seeing Hannam felt all cozy! i love Leeum also and that whole are. I cant wait for more eps!

One of my favorite things is when you take us around Seoul neighbourhoods and make us feel like we are your friends, newly arrived in town, and you are introducing us to your best hangouts! Loved this, thank you so much Sissel. I have been following you for 3 years now and I have watched all of your videos (I binge watched many of them in one sitting during the pandemic, from first to last) and I have seen your growth and how you have matured healthily and I really feel very proud! It is weird because we are not relatives and we’ve met only once (in the picnic you organized and was so cool! I stayed in HBC back in october and wish i couldve seen this sooner! but you've also taught me some new things, I cant wait to go back! Please continue this series~ I'd love to know more about Seongsu-dong, since all i know is that its good for cafes. I feel like ever since the accident in itaewon, no one has shown it love. It was a beautiful, fun area and Im excited to see what it becomes.

I loved this! My husband (who is Korean), my two toddlers and I are thinking of moving to Korea next year! If we do, I hope I remember to come back to this video for places to go! We were in Korea in mid September for a month and I had a few places I wanted to go to but some of these are definitely my vibe so they need to be added to the long list haha

I can’t wait to check out your recommended spaces. Can’t believe I haven’t been to Haebangchon Sinheung Market. It looks so cozy 😍. Thanks so much for sharing these places. And I might have a Christmas present idea for my husband now 🍶😉

omg lived in korea for a year and never knew about shinyongsan! visiting korea again and might visit! the shinyongsan 탕 place is soo expensive for korea tho! 😭

I'm doing a solo weekend trip to Seoul at the end of the month so this was a perfect timing 😍 not sure if yongsan will be in the itinerary but if it is I'll know where to go 🎉

Being an Army I would go there for the HYBE building 😂 but it is good to learn more about the local areas. I like to go to places where to locals hang out and not tourist areas.

I only got to drive through Yongsan-gu while in Korea. Those steep, tight, winding streets made me want to walk it 😊

You have to walk around here, you’ll see all the cozy spots much easier. The rule of Korea is that you have to walk into every tiny alley and shop, you never know what’s hidden behind 💚
