Seoul Cars & Coffee - 6AM Car Meet in South Korea
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is a short video recap of a car meet that took place on Saturday, April 23 in Seoul. Unlike the majority of car meets, this one started at 6am and had a good mix of different cars, including KDM, JDM, European and even 1 American Muscle car!
Also, I'm very happy to speak with you through the camera! Please do leave a comment if there are any aspects of Korean Car Culture you'd like to see and I'll be happy to make a video about it!

I wish there were classic cars like those from the 60s to 70s among the cars in the car park. It will make the event much, much more interesting.

Yes, I totally agree! I'm sure the older classic cars are still here in South Korea, would love to see them too!
It’s crazy to me how peaceful these meets are. Compare that to the burnout, rev, and drag race Festivals you see in the us or any European country

Hi! I find out about most of them through my friends, the IG pages of car groups/communities, and Facebook groups
I so want a Hyundai Pony Pickup, restore it, and bring it here.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You have to be loaded to own imported German cars in Korea with their insane tariffs
Tbh I’ll go to car meets in Korea mainly for the Japanese cars since they’re my thing and 80 percent of the cars are Korean
There is a car meet every friday/Saturday night at namsan science museum! I hope you visit there

Old koreans dont preserve rare korean cars that much. I seen an old hyundai pony pickup. I was so interested, i thought it should be in a museum. But it was just sitting in a tight parking spot. An old childhood friend of mine owned a lotus elan with kia engine. He use it as a daily driver, i imagine its rare and should be preserved. I never seen korean built corona (toyota) (shinjin motors 1954 to 1980) which was the most popular cars of that era. My guess is there are no more left. I think few collectors keep hyundai ponys but first gen hyundai ponys must be almost completely lost. I seen in the kmovie "a taxi driver" they had to put first gen pony head lights on a second gen pony. Probabaly because there are no more first gen ponys left.

I live in germany now. Im not that excited for bmw or benz, which are cars that wow koreans. Old beetles are more common in usa especially southern dry states than in germany. I seen a trubant once here (east german communist car). I imported my honda prelude 2001 from usa to germany. I never seen another one here. Even the honda dealership in germany asked me what kind of car is mine. Lol

Thank you for your comment! I think there are definitely old cars that people preserve and keep in a private garage or storage. But yeah, lots of old cars are still on the roads! But I, in contrast, think it's really nice that people still drive those cars! I am not a fan of buying cars to never drive them. For many of these old cars, there are no parts available yet, and plus carbon footprint regulations are getting stricter, I wouldn't be surprised if years later, it'll be illegal to drive older cars in big cities so I do understand how many people just want to enjoy casual driving around in their rare cars while there's still an opportunity to do so!
I live the content. How do I stay updated with car meets in Seoul? Just gave you a follow on IG! Happy new years!
