@@ddr7246 I personally like the music and the lyrics of Auferstanden aus Ruinen but the GDR sadly was only a soviet satellite state and far from being a democracy. For this reason the anthem can't qualify as anthem for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Trust me, my grandma lived there. Everyone worked, but no wealth was formed. Without the reunification i woudve given the ddr 5 years AT MAX before the complete collapse.

the funny fact is there are historic clubs in Germany today praise this dead nation, but I can't found any club praise your dad or your grandpa.
