Thank you all!
Dear Jin Cho, this is one of the most beautiful interpretations of Clair de lune I have ever hear. Beautiful phrasing and beautiful choreography of your wrists and hands on the keyboard. Bravo to you.Seymour Bernstein
This is so good, I get teary-eyed just listening to it.
He is not playing, he is kissing the keyboard with his fingers!
This is how I imagine watercolors to sound like
"the most important things in music are not the musical notes, but the silence between the notes" : Claude Debussy. This is the first time on KZread I can hear a pianist who truly understand that !
moonlight touches a silky curtain very subtly, and the curtain flows shattering the light like diamond grain
This version means so much to me, on a personal level. It is played like he wants to enjoy every note/passage of it. It's almost like, through this piece of music, he is telling someone very close to him, how much they mean to him, and he wants them to fully 'get' the depth of his feelings for that someone.
This is the best version ever. I can tell immediately it's different
I have heard Clair de Lune a thousand times played by a hundred musicians. I have never felt it like this. This is exquisite. A masterpiece in the hands of a master.
Cho is a superstar in Korea and has studied in France where he fell in love with Debussy. What does the winner of the Chopin Competition evoke with his Clair de Lune?
Definitely The Best of all of clair de lune.
❤素晴らしい❤
Truly wonderful....wow....thank you Seong-Jin Cho, much respect.
他の誰よりも美しく魅力的な音♡
Seong-Jin Cho interprète à ravir cette magnifique page de Debussy. Qu'il en soit remercié.
The delicate extra press @
I have never heard this piece played like this. Its amazing.
Cho best interpreted the quietness of moonlight and seemingly twisted mood of Debussy that this piece is trying to convey.
Many many times lost in this magic. Claude Debussy, Seong-Jin Cho, worlds apart, life times apart yet together as one, time and space do not matter at all. Their music travels deeply in the heart of those that have the pleasure to hear it, a kind relief from every day news of war, killings, world burning and so on.
