@@change698 I mean as far as Ik in Korea they call someone hyung if they're a year apart.....but the default level of speaking in Korea is "formal" like it doesn't matter if you've met the person or you've known them for long you still use the honorifics....and tbh it just depends on the type of relationship and respect two pple share for each other and clearly BTS has a lot of respect for jin as their eldest brother so yoongi must call him hyung out of respect or bc it just sits right with him 😊

Most of the time Jin would just give way to the other members, I remember on one of the collab run bts had with Na PDnim, he says that he doesn't really use his hyung status since other members excel more than him. I think its also one of the reason respect and values him so much. That's why whenever his using the hyung card the other members just give way to him.

I totally relate to Jin😂 . But one thing I learned about in this "Life" is that, Maknae Power is just as powerful, sometimes much much more powerful in real life 😂. As the eldest I'm always expected to exercise the rules our parents make and I'm always making sure my younger siblings follow it, but to the youngest? 😫 Sometimes, you need to bend the rules. My father and mother is always lenient to our youngest sister and I can see the negative side of it. It affects the bond of our other siblings. So I end up arguing with them to point out favoritism. My youngest sister is a brat to my parents but she's afraid of me, so my parents use my name to threaten her whenever she goes "brat mode".
