Besides Heilung and Ren Vas Terul, you can also hear some of our voice talents (including myself - Elizabeth Andrews, Chelsea Strickland, Misha Standjofski) for the inuit throat singing, overtone singing, screaming and a tiny bit of Tuvan throat singing and regular chanting. Of course our contribution is very small compared to everyone involved but it is worth mentioning. By the way, those same voice talents did the voice of Illtauga and the many draugrs (along with Philippe Langelier and Jeff Mott) in the game 🤗❤️

I wish they make more of such short games, they're intense, story rich, often more beautiful because are hand crafted and not 1000 sq km of generated landscapes. They're leaving huge impression without wasting your time. It's also woth mentioning that this will decrease they're price from time to time.

It should have been longer and more mechanics. Great story but it simply wasn't enough to call it a great game. Definitely artistic and very moving. Would have done better as a movie I think.

Each day i am checking on the chanel of Heilung or David Garcia Diaz and each day i was sad about not finding the Hellblade Tracks. And then, one day i logged into YT and at the first place there was this vid. Thank you so much for that!

The way the game builds you up i this chapter then the fight begins with this soundtrack makes you become immersed and forgot you're playing a game, no, it's you fighting is what it makes you feel. I literally felt like i woke up once the fight ended. Masterpiece and a breath of fresh air away from the current stream of games.

The music in the fights makes everything even more cinematic as hell. I am baffled by the fact that people say the combat in this game sucks or is a step backwards from the first game. It is amazing.

I’m glad you enjoyed the combat in the second game so fervently. I wish I could hold the same sentiment. I find that a lot of the combat tools and inputs from the first title were removed or simplified, making combat feel dull after experiencing it for long enough. The animations carry the experience for certain, but consider how there’s no bash, no dodge attacks, less combo routes overall. Even the mirror’s already simple design was simplified even more to fit the smaller scale battles, unfortunately turning it into what feels like a “win button.” Overall, there’s just less opportunities for player expression, and I find that unfortunate.

​​​​@@madmouse4465sorry I'm baked so this reply is long: but the combat was simplified on purpose. Sometimes more doesn't always mean better. This game was trying to be a cinematic epic 7 hour long interactive movie/haunted house, not an action game. The swordplay is so simple because they want you to focus less on trying to be stylish and just let the actors be stylish. Think of it like you the player are actively fighting in the battle of wits during swordfights, but the manner in which Senua attacks is ultimately up to her because she has the actual knowledge of swordfighting. Also don't discredit the choreography of the sword fights. They're magnificent. If you're having trouble seeing how, think about the fights in the context of a stage play. It's a stylistic choice of the game to resemble a play much more so than real events. The issue I think is you're trying to push this game in the direction of an action game where the player is clever through the controls when Team Ninja truthfully want *even the combat* to be cinematic while still requiring active participation. It feels like Sekiro to me all over again. In fact this game is quite a bit like Sekiro except they made dodging and blocking equally viable. But this game could easily end up sharing the rhythm game accusations that Sekiro receives (I say this to be coy, truthfully I do love rhthym games, Sayonara: Wild Hearts is my favorite). You could be cynical and say that this obsession with cinema is because this whole game is really just an xbox ad, or you could be more reasonable and say that they want to give their audience/players a way to watch a 7 hour long epic where *you're* the hero.

I was in a discord call with the boys, watching a friend of ours who was also more fluent in Norse myth explain all the stuff we were seeing, and when the draugr fight started and this began playing, I think we all knew that this game would be something different cause I don’t think it’s light work to get a bunch of people with no Norse ancestry to wanna be terrifying Viking mythical creatures, and this song did that in seconds.
