It is AESA radar. Yes AESA radar can detect hypersonic missile.

I mean if you aim it at a playground full of children it would be. Otherwise it’s just harmless.
Один оборот антенны станции радара ~3÷3,5 секунды. Неэффективное (слепое) пятно времени отсутствия обнаружения ~ 2 секунды. Примерное время старта противоракеты с момента обнаружения ~0,5 секунды. Дистанция (радиус) защиты от двух ракет имеющих скорость ~690м/с, в лучшем случае примерно составит ~5км, если ракеты летят рядом по фронту, то есть радар распознает отдельные цели. Но если ракеты летят рядом колонной, на низкой высоте, то определение количества ракет будет затруднительно. Следовательно вторая очередь противоракет будет произведена с задержкой.

Sentinel has been able to steer since the 90s, but only a little bit. If you want to see more than a single area, it still has to spin.

@@scottfriske9186 Rotating radars are nothing new. You can make the 36 rotate past it’s hard stop if you keep reinstalling all the wiring harnesses.
