They just gave another Cleveland cop two years with the expectation of getting out in one or less for beating a woman so severely she has a brain aneurysm! He was drunk on the job as well, and they allowed him to retire with all his benefits. The woman he beat, was the supervisor at the police station that he was having an affair with for 13 years! He beat her at least 15 other times, but this time he almost killed her. his name was Kevin Stanard.

Committing a crime while on duty as a police officer (or any position of authority) is considered an aggravating factor. Because aggravating factors increase the seriousness of the offense they can justify more severe sentences. So, why is he receiving such a minimal sentence? He probably knew who he was stopping. Cops have an unbelievable amount of information on citizens, especially if that's the community they work and live in. They know who the drug dealers are, the cars they drive, everything. That's what's so scary about it. Cops have too much information available to them on American citizens and little to no penalties for their bad behavior.

Hey Tinker, im just as upset as you are. What you have to look at is the crimes weren't armed robberies. The cop basically was stealing from the victims while they sat in his police car. So they can't charge with armed robberies. It's basically petty theft but because he's a cop, he's should be made example. Look at him, he was a thug with authority as a cop. Good thing they caught him before he got really going.

He was holding on to them guns to sell to some gang and not be linked to him, but ultimately the original owner. The others didn’t report it believing they got away with serious gun & drug charges & weren’t going to dare report it. He stole from an honest, hard working man, & he wasn’t letting the cop rob his family & his life. Then to ask to not pay restitution back when life sentences get restitution & they work in prison to pay off their debts to the victims. He’s going to be locked up for 30 months, but will be out in 12 or 14 months & will have a cushy prison term. All because he was from the wrong side of the track & had a bad upbringing, got his GED, straightened himself out for 2 years to get on the police dept & began stealing not but a month on the force. He’s stolen thousands and can’t pay back the $10,000 restitution to the people he robbed carrying a badge & a gun. What a piece of crap grifter.

Cole robbed drivers he stopped with no probable cause. However, this judge bombarded the victims/witnesses with so many questions. I hope Cole's victims had immunity deals with the prosecutor. The judge behaved as if they were on trial instead of the crooked cop, Alphonso Cole.

2.5 years seems light for multiple counts of armed robbery. Why run sentences concurrently? That says - if you’re gonna commit one crime - might as well commit 10 crimes cuz it’s the same sentence. 🤷

I think the Prosecutor and Defense Atty both did their job very well. As for requesting that the crooked cop being protected, nope!!! I'm sure there are other inmates housed that he has violated...well, boo😢hoo😢, you commit the crime, you do the time like any other criminal! Actually, imo, he should have been given more yrs, but the sentencing guidelines prevails.
