Sennheiser/Neumann Factory Tour in Germany

This summer I went to Germany to find out what goes into making some of the world's best microphones. Luckily, Sennheiser offers a Factory tour in Bissendorf Germany. In this video, we explore the Sennheiser evolution line which is produced in a 100% automated assembly line, and the Neumann brand which produces 100% handmade microphones.
In addition, I was fortunate enough to grab a quick interview with our guide, John, who shared some insight into the history of Sennheiser/Neumann microphone design and what's next for the pro audio industry.

Love this video! Definitely a very legendary line of microphones. I was actually born and raised in Germany; maybe on my next trip back to the old country ill visit.

Being an experienced producer, singer and narrator, Neumann over the years in my profession has become the reference in doing professional work. As a matter of fact, when it comes to singing or speaking, their products are outstanding. I've never been a fanboy of any company. But in the Neumann's case, I am. Wonderful products for a wonderful job 😊

Crazy that all those Neumann's are hand assembled on 2 tables by 4 women. Every. Single. One. Their facility was top notch and their team was incredible. I was beyond impressed. Thank you for your comment :)

They advertise tours on the Sennheiser website! I've wanted to go to Germany for awhile so I figured I could make it a business trip and ask for an interview :P Glad you enjoyed it, Mike. Thanks for your feedback!

yes, the mix in that picture is Sm7B. Elon was the first to buy a set of Orpheus Headphones from Sennheiser.
