Does anyone have experience with the SteelSeries Arctis 9x or Plantronics Rig 800lx? Would you recommend the Sennheiser GSP 600 over those? (for spacial sound while playing xbox PUBG/FPS)

I see some of you talking about the HyperX headset. I just got done sending the one I had back for an exchange because the sound sucks and I hate the big clunky in-line sound controls.

Would have been great to get a review of the sound of the actual headset and not through the GSX 1000 as that amplifies it quite a bit. I have seen a lot of people complain about the lack of surround sound and not hearing where enemies are with this headset, so I was surprised to hear you didn't have that problem, but if you are using a sound amplifier, that explains it.

I use the GSP 600 with an AE-7 sound card (with amp) and never had issues with positional audio when it came to FPS gaming.

can i ask a question, i already bought epos 600 and not buy a sound card like gx1000 or gx300. and if i change to 7.1 in my audio software (Realtek Audio Control) my mic doesnt work, any fix about this?

Like the other people said, its hard to beat Sennheiser with sound quality. Especially when you add in the GSX1000 like the youtuber does here. However, I have had both the Cloud Alphas and now the GSP 600. As you would think, the Sennheiser GSP 600 with the GSX 1000 DAC is unbeatable. It sounds amazing. With that being said, the Cloud Alphas paired with the GSX 1000 sound really really good. I play valorant and CSGo and I was hearing things with both headsets that nobody else on my team was.

my earpods got ripped a little so I had to switch them after 4 months of use

It is for one your or since 2019 ;) - Just one little detail :D

One correction...the GSP 600 is a closed back headphone design, while the GSP 500 is the one that uses an open back design. So I’m not sure if he misspoke, or just under the wrong impression that they’re open back...

I know that it is a closed back headset, but compared to other closed back headsets, I still hear quite a lot from the outside world.

I bought the same Headset and the sound card aswell and it keeps going idle if I am not making any sound. Problem which I didnt have before with Logitech headset and Tested my friend HyperX headset and have no issue. I still dont get it and there is nothing on their website, I guess I ll send back the products and never buy from that manufacturer again ...

@@TheAmazingJon Hell Yeah, But I bouht the GSP 600 and the GSX 1000, which is quite expensive. Now I am NOT happy nor impress with their support as when contacted they informed me that they separated from Seinheiser... and Epos now, their support is close to nonexistent. I have shared this on social media as for a Brand that is quite expensive and have such poor support, does not, at least for me, deserve that kind of price tags and would be the last time I purchase their products, period.

@@alexishuon8440 You should do more research before going for GSX1000. It's ok for 7.1 but it sucks in everything else. Not even talking about how overpriced it is.

This Sennheiser product has been sold to EPOS audio for all after sales. If you are out of warranty, Sennheiser and EPOS audio do not provide any service at all (including repairs). For this expensive and so called "Professional Gaming" headset, do not expect to have the backing of the Sennheiser brand nor the care from EPOS. Totally disappointed and I will avoid the two brands now.
