I love this story. With a little romance and the tale of gold,a great plot. I can see Katie girl waiting patiently all those years for her love to return with his warm hug and a pocket of gold. We will buy a ranch and have a bunch of kids and live happy ever after. But it was not to be. At this time in the story,I have chill bumps all over. As fate would have it,Katie meets the doctor to learn of her lost love. Thank you for taking us along on this love story.

Awesome story!!.... It solved a 25 year old mystery for me.... In March of 1995, one of my friends and I camped out in the area of the massacre grounds(blue tent), there was a mine adit close to where we camped. We explored the pinnacle on the northwest corner of the mountain. We got bored with that and wanted to go up the mountain. we found a trail that led right to the top on the mountain........ The county sheriff said we where about 5000' up there..... IT was Al Senner's horse trail...

I read this book over 10 years ago. It is an easy story to read and an interesting historical perspective of the area. I personally believe the story as truth and believe the gold is still there. Nice to see this story on the channel.

This is one of the best stories I've heard on this channel. The history of Senner is truly amazing, and the doctor and Katie add more drama. Thank you for continuing this channel. Charlie would be proud.

Another awesome story. Someone may have found some of it but those old timers were smart enough to not put all there eggs in one basket. There's still some to be found, the trick is to look in the right spot. Thanks men for the video.

I grew up in Scottsdale in sight of the Superstitions. When in the boy scouts, twice backpacked the country around and beyond Weavers Needle. An other worldly landscape in places. A million canyons and arroyos. Thanks for these stories!

Storytelling doesn't get better than this! These histories remind me of just how sanitized, safe and insured American life is today. The risk these guys took, and the lifestyle they had to adopt is in blatant contrast to today's suburban, often banal, culturally engineered life experience. .

Oh how we LOVE adventure stories of men who got even....even if it was to late for him to spend it on Katie! Bless His Heart! GREAT story-teller... as usual out of the south west!

Gold still out there no one has claimed they found it and no early 20th century cowboy ever got rich I looked several times but 1000 PLACES TO HIDE IT !!

butlincat ....that's why we have programs like Gold Rush but, look how easy and what they have to go through just to do a clean-up. Easy, Hell!

Being a local, I strongly recommend people not accustom to this landscape and environment, look for this themselves. People go missing here every year, never to be found. Between, extreme heat, snakes, scorpions, coyotes, mountain lions, javalina, steep cliffs, and other treasure hunters, many don't come home.

Gold has power!

What year was the picture taken of snow on the 'Supes? Amazing how far down the snow was.

Another great story. If I was going to take gold up there to hide I would hide it at a lower elevation, Why carry it any farther than necessary. Then I would make numerous camp sites to throw off the real location of the gold.

Never every does anyone find Supergold because no one is foolish enough to make their finds public.

I have been in that country prospecting.Mostly looking for gemstone like fire agate or any gemstone worth digging up and cutting.That country is very rugged in spots .Dry and hot also.One must take lots of water in that country.The man who filed the claims for Kennicot in and around Superior Arizona filed all but one claim in the middle of them all .He filed that claim for himself and that made him a very wealthy man.

Can you take a metal detector there or is it ilegal to do it ??

Its illegal because its a state park now

Jack found it I bet ,that's what he bought that new black cowboy hat with and he hides that gold rich ore in that there hat also.

I would guess be difficult to sell the gold word get around figure out where your getting it.
