The visuals behind Senhit and her videos (including the freaky series) are from Luca Tommassini, the most famous italian coreographer, who also worked with Madonna. He accepted to work almost for free with Senhit because she and San Marino TV let him do what he wants and express his creativity with no limits. He refused to work with Italy and RAI for Eurovision due to the excessive limitations forced on him.

I have supported San Marino long enough to see them go from everyone's everyone's favourite joke to genuine fan favourites, at least for a while. That puts a smile on my face. #EurovisionValentinaMonettasHouse2022 ? In all seriousness, this is a very modern song and sound for San Marino, and probably one of if not the best produced song they've had. It is a clear step up in quality and it is a catchy jam that I really enjoy. The lyrics aren't terribly deep, but neither was Fuego and this feels like an evolution of that aesthetic and concept. The ethnic Eritrean instrumental adds so much to the song, and I feel pretty confident that this can easily give San Marino its best placement in the contest to date.

Wow, normally my expectations for San Marino are quite low but I always appreciate it when they put in the effort. This year, I was completely shocked, amazed and in disbelief. This is amazing, to me this has to qualify :)

i heard that adrenalina is actually a reject melfest song that was supposed to be sung by Suzi P from last year. thats why the Debs and Joker worked for the song. shame on Sweden if they actually did rejected this song because honestly, its the best thing to ever happen to San Marino

damn its crazy that a song that got rejected from being in a semi final could skip all that and go "direkt til final". The system is so strange. I guess its safer to submit to Melfest and the very high chance of being picked for it, rather than the risk of not being picked up as a internal selection and possibly have the song not chosen at all

Adrenalina was actually rejected in melfest, then it was picked by Cyprus. Then, Cyprus rejected it After "El Diablo" came out. That's when San Marino got it. Although, Senhit wanted it to be changed to include eritrean instruments, to recall her ancestors' land. The First version was probably quite different in its sound, without the ethnic element.

I started watching Eurovision properly in 2021 and I can say that I really enjoyed senhit’s entry for San Marino. That was my highlight of Eurovision 2021, especially featuring Flo Rida I love him so much always have done. I think he’s amazing and he was the right person for the track and I love senhit I love her personality and her vibes. I think she’s so cool. 😎

A sexy upbeat bop with Middle Eastern tones and a huge character. It is seductive without trying too hard, which is a great achievement, and in my opinion, this exactly is what gives the song more points in comparison with Serbia, Cyprus, and Moldova. The song is so strong without giving the impression that it is overworked, overthought, or pretentious. It feels like it..... just came to existence without any human intervention. And that is what makes the song so popular. The addition of Flo Rida is indeed so surreal, but it doesn't clash at all - on the contrary. And Senhit's voice is so sensual even when she sings a bop! Great job, San Marino. At the moment, it's my winner followed by Albania, and France.

100% what I was trying to say under someone else's comment under the Wiwiblogs 'Croatia' video! I totally agree with you. Some of the other female led songs are so 'forced' when it comes to looking and feeling 'sexy'. Case in point is Hurricane. I find it so off putting. It's become such a thing since Eleni Foureira turned it up in 2018, which I absolutely loved. But since then everyone seems to try and want to emulate and exude the same sexual energy, but it just comes off as cheap and try hard. Glad Senhit is just being herself

Two of the several co-writers of this track are Linnea & Joy Deb, who wrote Heroes for Mans Zelmerlow in 2015! Good pedigree!

I was waiting for this!!! I couldn't wait to see your reaction, and it was everything I hoped it would be! When this first dropped, I wasn't expecting much. I did enjoy 'Freaky' last year, but it didn't leave me with much hope of it qualifying. This year I was under the same impression pre-listen...and BOY was I wrong!!!! Senhit has KILLED it! This is such high quality ethno-pop. It reminds me of the kind of feeling I had when I first heard Eleni Foureira's 'Fuego', which came out of nowhere. It sounds like it could have come from the Panik records stable, but its head and shoulders above 'El Diablo', (which I'm not a fan of because to me its so predictable and follows the same formula that Cyprus have rinsed and recycled since Fuego). The detailed little flourishes and the thumping beat really takes me to that happy place. The production is just top notch. The music video is incredible aesthetically. It adds so much artistry to the sound both visually and contextually and evokes so many ideas as to the potential staging of this song. If they pull that off, this is a dead cert top 5, or a surprise winner! Imagine if San Marino won?! Flo Rida..... if I'm honest, this would have sounded good with any rapper in his place. Flo hasn't been relevant for so long now which is why I was so surprised by his appearance. I think Pitbull would have worked just as well on this record. Overall, it's now my new favourite :)

They're both similar in terms of success and sound so it would have made sense either way! Haha yes, I've been seeing the trending joke about Valentina getting her garden ready! The contest was placed on hiatus in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic (as a result the contest that was originally scheduled for 8-12 May 2020 was ultimately not held at all). The hiatus ended in the summer of 2020 when the EBU officially announced that the 65th contest would be held in Rotterdam one year later than scheduled, as extending the hiatus beyond one year would be considered impractical since that would deplete the EBU's finances. Infectious disease related insurance does not apply to music competitions such as Eurovision but applies to major sporting events such as Wimbledon.

I think Iceland will be first to get it. Malta were close in the past with their two 2nd places, but they havent been close since 2005. I dont feel like Cyprus will beat ICeland because they are buying the songs, whereas Iceland are creating them themselves. Also, Eurovision in Iceland would be AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING

Just wow! This sucks you in within the first 3 seconds. Total banger that doesn't instantly feel like a re-hash of something else, perhaps because of that Arabesque vibe (apparently they are Eritrean instruments). That vibe in itself has been so badly missed at the contest since Turkey withdrew and we can see already that the fandom are going to absolutely lap this up. Bring Flo Rider to Rotterdam and this would be such a 'moment' on the night. I can't imagine having him on a video screen would would comply with ESC rules, but a hologram would be pretty cool though :)

With you on this one, Tom. It’s really good and certainly a big challenge for my current tip to win which is Cyprus. Although prior to cancellation I didn’t rate ‘ Freaky’ much, when I saw the home concert performance, I thought that it would have been a dark horse for last year: although would it have challenged Dadi? I’m not sure. This retreads the Fuego path for me, but not in a bad way. Anyway looking forward to watching your review of the ‘Orphan Black’ style Lady Gaga clone that is Cyprus.

If she brings Flo Rida it could def win. having first class US rap in this top notch pop song is amazing and gives it an extra layer of class. rap invariably flops in eurovision, but this works sooooooo well. she is sooooo charismatic and confident too and I have no doubt she will sell it! italy / san marino my top 2...oh and denmark haha!

I think it is SUPER hard - almost impossible - for bops to win Eurovision, they just cant get the jury vote. If Fuego couldnt do it....

@@ESCTom oh, Greece is at this as well? Personally it puts me off voting for those countries. I do the reverse, which is putting them even further down than I normally would. I already got attacks over Serbia this year, by saying it was boosting Croatia by comparison 🤣 I definitely am not and will not give it a fair chance until the fans behave. Balkans people have no self awareness, and entirely too much agressivity. I'm glad they're shit at football, otherwise... The big 5 and Portugal, Ireland are much more self critical. That said, something you've never yourself, try to criticise Sweden 😬but at least they don't threaten you.

yea thats part of it is that i havent seen the negative side of some countries cos ive always liked their entries. Im interested to see what would happen if i didnt like a Ukrainian song, because ive only ever had positive reviews for their entries. Yea, Greece is pretty bad. Funnily enough, Croatia werent too bad with Roko, I had some interesting comments there. The Serbian ones were just plain abusive - like very directly abusive. And this was to a song that i had given like 70%+ and put in my top 10 for that semi. I just said she was shouty (which she was).

@@ESCTom Serbians are always aggressive, Croatians much friendlier. No wonder they don't get on - it spills over into the political scene where it seems much the same. The same scenario applies to Ukraine vs Russia I think. Although with this year's pick in Russia some Russians are now abusive * towards* the poor girl and not us, because she is not white and they don't like the song. I'm not happy with that. I've seen middling reviews of shum and all you get from Ukrainians is "thank you for your review, love Ukraine 🇺🇦 * Of course, most wouldn't speak or write English anyway so it's a small selection. Come to think of it it's the same with UK and Ireland. Ireland will be like" we're shite anyway " and the UK like" fucking Europe hates us because politics /brexit /random war /we're better " always, always. I'll leave this hidden down the bottom but remember S. had concentration camps and caused genocides back in the 90s, those people are my age onwards, they're hardly old. And unlike Germany they haven't shown much shame for it. Just saying.

yes it is very similar to Cleopatra (which funnily enough Senhit did a demo of), but the chorus is much more pleasant for me. Cleopatra chorus was a bit jarring

thanks for the heads up Sam. 80% of the videos I post are copyrighted by the record company, so they place ads that i cant control. Have you been having that issue with any other videos? This one wasnt copyrighted, so I just switched on default ads, and it sounds like it was way too much, so ill change those settings now. please let me know if any other vids have too many ads, the revenue from it is quite small (like 1 euro per month), so they arent worth it if theyre gonna be that distracting

It doesn't re-invent the wheel by any stretch, but it most definitely is not 'mediocre'. And in the context of all the other music sent by San Marino, this is head and shoulders above all the other stuff that's represented the small country, and it definitely muscles in nicely against all the other euro-bop tracks that are in the mix this year. If you want mediocre, you need to look at some of the other songs in the competition.
