The Senegalese brother has to do better than this. He holds the fence, pulls on his opponent's trunks, pulls on his opponent's gloves, keeps his fingers outstretched for 'accidental' eye gouges. That's what you should do in a streetfight, but this is sport fighting. I know they're looking for someone to make into a superstar, but if he's going to be that guy, he should learn how to fight strictly by the rules. He's clearly strong, and a good fighter, but he does too many dirty tactics.

Someone who is not a born fighter is not aggressive in any way, and whether by the rules or cheating they will not fight. This guy can clearly fight, and he has natural fight intelligence as if he's been in a lot of fights before he got here. He just needs to play by the rules. Nothing in my previous comment implied that I think he can't learn, or get used to the rules.

when I watch these videos I do wonder ... what precisely was the reasoning that in the 60's and 70's at most we had boxing. why did they not do these kinds of fights, why only boxing with big gloves, bigger ring, more fight restrictions, shorter rounds ... there must have been a reason. i think that's the problem with society and "sports" today, we forgot that reason entirely. if the trajectory of increasing brutallity increases over time it won't take long until we're watching fights to actual death. give a man a fair share of money for that, wouldn't many do it? wouldn't people want to see it? why are we not doing it?
