Amazing how everyday Americans are struggling more than ever while corporations post record profits every quarter and we still equate the health and wellness of our country with the strength of the stock market. If either party is preventing these issues from being mitigated why is it some people will vote against their own interests just to keep the party they identify with in power? It's lunacy! it's Party over country and we are shooting ourselves in the foot and then blaming the other party.

If you voted for Biden you voted for higher energy costs and inflation. You didn't vote for him did you?

This is such a stupid bill, even if passed out won't save anyone any money as prices will just rise. They really should teach economics in schools.

If you voted for Biden and Democrats you literally voted for inflation. Stop complaining about it and embrace what you voted for.

No one would save money if they didn't shrink packaging they would simply raise the price more. This is California's $20 minimum wage type of thing.

Shrinkflation makes me feel as if our border, economy, increased crime, law fare, and wars don't even matter. Thank you shrinkflation!

The data is at the gas pump, we experienced shrinkflation back in 2005 when gas went to $5.

The house had the chance to fix the boarder but they saw it as a chance to attack Biden so they shot down their own border bill. The increased crime was due to the mismanagement of the pandemic in 2020 its been slowly declining since 2022. The US didn't start any of those wars they just send weapons. The economy is suffering from greedflation which this bill actually helps.

So let me get this straight. When the amount of stuff is posted on the package and the price - often even the unit price - is on display on the shelf, there's some sort of deception going on? Nah. You need to look at what you're buying.

The deception is manufacturers making their products smaller or making packaging that holds less while keeping the price the same. Sure, the packaging shows you the weight or amount but the majority of people aren't going to pay attention to that.

@@jdotoz No. Shrinking your product or putting less in the package without any indication that it's happened, aside from the net weight/volume on the packaging, while leaving the price unchanged is deceptive. For example, changing from a 28 oz bottle to a 24 oz bottle but continuing to charge the same price as the 28 oz bottle.
