Main stream media needs to produce the names and the state of origin for all of the radical people that try to shut down the government. Make those names stay in peoples minds so they don’t make the mistake of voting for people who do not have their best interest at heart!

Cannot without a constitutional amendment saying so. Their salary is guaranteed by the constitution while most other federal funds are not. However, it should be made illegal for any government employee to work without pay. All air traffic controllers, for example, should stop all work during government shutdowns.

If you're referring to Social Security, it isn't affected by a shutdown, the checks still go out. Neither is Medicare/Medicaid. Nor SSI. Nor disability payments. Your concerns aren't related to a shutdown, they are concerns faced by these folks every day.

You'd be even happier if you'd learn how your government works. VA funding is not affected by shutdowns. There would be no impact on Veteran healthcare; burials would continue at VA national cemeteries; VA would continue to process and deliver benefits to Veterans, including compensation, pension, education, and housing benefits; and the Board will continue to process appeals.
