White collar crime is a big deal, a very big deal. Lori Laughlin will be serving time (white collar crime.) The reason why we (as a society) do not take it as serious, is because white collar criminals are not generally "violent." They are dangerous, but not life-and-death dangerous the way a murderer, a drug dealer, or a DUI driver is. Fraud is a very big deal. Whether it is Enron, or Bernie Madoff, or Lori Laughlin, or this jamoke at Wells Fargo, its a big deal. Its big deal because when you commit fraud you erode the public trust in institutions who are supposed to act in the best interest of their customers. Do that (and don't get punished) and we cease living in the 1st world and we start to live in the 3rd world. No one wants to live in the 3rd world. No one wants to live with a corrupt government, with corrupt business practices. The law applies to all people equally. But in matters of white collar crime (because we don't hear as much about it) we don't fully understand what the law is that is being broken, what the crime is. So its hard for unsophisticated people to wrap their hands around it. Like in 2008, only one banker went to jail. That is because for all the trillions lost, no real "crimes" were committed because that level of Fraud, our government could never properly understand exactly what kind of legislation needed to be created to prevent it in the future. And they still don't.

it ABSOLUTELY should be. The only way to deter these roaches from preying on the poor and exploiting every loophole they come across, is to prosecute executives for mismanagement during their tenure. The SEC has shown itself unwilling/unable to provide oversight so Congress needs to do something to reign these guys in before they create another "Great Recession". For all of their condemnation, this is one area Democrats have completely dropped the ball. I'll never forgive Obama for not finding a way to hold those responsible for 2008 criminally liable. There's literally nothing so terrible that they can't get away with.

I love how the CEOs always say they do not know how many shares they have of the company stock.

Such a badass? She's the reason term limits need to be put in place. This women is advocating for the removal of student loans to people who shouldn't have taken out 6 figure loans for a degree in Lesbian Dance Theory. She took Trump's bait for having a DNA test to prove she wasn't Cherokee, and the results showed 1/2000 (that's .0005%) part Cherokee. She lied to say she was Native American so she could get a scholarship and have it pay for her education, while taking it away from an ACTUAL Native American who the scholarship was designed for. I opened the account and then was charged so many fees that I had never been charged at any bank before. Closed my account. I remember feeling so bad for him at this time - he was under a lot of pressure to open new accounts.

I recall closing a "savings" account at Wells Fargo. Two months later, I got a notice from Wells Fargo saying my Wells Fargo "checking" account was overdrawn. I never had a "checking" account at Wells Fargo. I never allow ANY bank hold ANY of my money after that.

I don't get how the people in the back aren't grinning, clapping and cheering the whole time. This is awesome to watch. it's only a shame that rarely, anything comes of it.

And I was working for Wells Fargo from 2013 to 2014 and there was a lot of pressure to sell

I worked at a large bank in Arizona for decades(this was 25 years ago) ….the pressure on the tellers was horrible. Our job ……and pay raises ……depended on how many new accounts we got to open every month..it was reflected in our quarterly reviews. 😞 First they said to talk to our customers…🤦‍♀️……well, 99% were there BECAUSE they already had an account! 🤦‍♀️ so then they said we had to ask the customers to ask their friends and family to open an account with us…..well, most adults already have an account somewhere and most don’t want to switch, so we have no control over that. So, then they said we had to “solicit” around our neighborhood, talk to our grocery store clerk, our doctors office receptionist, the person sitting next to us on the bus, the clerk at the shopping mall, start cold calling, talk to strangers on the street…….etc….😳😳😳. 😡😡HELL NO! NOT FOR THE MINIMUM WAGE THEY’RE PAYING ME! When I clock out at 5…..and I’m not getting paid anymore……I’m DONE working! You can bet the branch manager and other upper staff weren’t out soliciting after hours! 😡 Banks are in the top three of the most corrupt industries! (Big Pharma/oil&gas/banking)
