Agreed. June Anderson does a wonderful job here but there is not, and never will be, a comparison to Sutherland and Horne.

If i had to choose one number alone from the whole repertoire, i think that would be this one. It's great the have done the Sutherland-Horne variation at the end of the first part. Was it written by Bonynge? I love it.

Passer derrière Sutherland et Caballé n'était pas une mince affaire. June Anderson l'a fait; elle en avait les moyens et peut être fière du travail accompli. Signalons également une autre grande chanteuse qui avait assuré la relève dans ce rôle, redoutable entre-tous, de Semiramide: Cecilia Gasdia.

Horne and Caballe were also great.
