WTG Sherri! And I'm looking forward to your weekly series about this. I had Lapband surgery 16 yrs ago and I lost 21 lbs. Then certain things I couldn't even to get down. The food would get stuck and it would come right back up. I had adjustments after adjustments and they never helped. After 2 yrs of trying the nurse took all of liquid out my band through a port and we closed the book. I'm proud of how well you did with FeFe giving you your shot. I'm on B-12 once a week and have to give myself them in my arm. I had never done it before and I was shocked at how easy it is to do. The needle is so skinny tou don't even feel it. I look forward learning about your journey and pray you do well with it. You go girl! 👏👏👏❤

I'm diabetic & wouldn't take it but I wish you the best. Too many bad side effects. Plus when you stop taking the shots it's like any other diet "pill" & you can very easily gain your weight back & more. I don't take meds. I watch what I eat & exercise. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes & been on ozempic since May 10th 2023, I've lost 63lbs & feel like I've hardly put effort forth lol. My 4 biggest recommendations: #1 Drink water!! In one day you should be drinking minimally half your weight in ounces of water. #2 Don't torture yourself by over thinking what you're eating. When you make your primary focus packing protein into every bite it naturally weeds out enough of that other crap you want to avoid. #3 The double chocolate & the pb chocolate power crunch bars are an AMAZING way to kick a chocolate craving. #4 get you some fiber & some pepto pills 😂 I cannot tell you how mind blowing it truly is. The food chatter is a real thing & so is the claim that it's suppressed by this med! I was much like you in the beginning, super skeptical & kept blaming a placebo effect but, baby, this ish is real! I feel like my body is mine for the first time in my life! This old mama is keeping up with her very, very young babies finally & a year ago I couldn't fathom how the hell I would ever get out from under all that weight & have the life I wanted with & for them! Way to Go Mrs. Sherri. Good Luck to you. I had gastric sleeve in October 25th, 2022 due to weight loss struggles but also due to a umbilical hernia. I use the Ozempic which is the other name for the medication you are taking. You got this . I did lose almost 300 lbs before I had the surgery and got to a stand still.

Wish you luck girl, if anyone can make it happen, you can! My brother does it and he looks great at 72 and feels better too. I wanted to try it myself, however due to medical reasons, my doctor does not recommend it for me. Everybody's body is different, the only way you are going to find out if it works for you is to try it yourself, you are on your own journey. Lots of love and success!

I have been on Mounjaro 15mg, for 16 months. My blood sugar numbers are better, I have lost only 20 lbs which is fine with me. I have no stomach issues nor hair loss. My bloodwork looks great. Good for you for doing what’s best for you!

This sounds so much like Ozempic which almost killed me. I was prescribed this by a doctor and 1 week after being on it the sickness hit me. If you have any colon problems please be extremely careful. God bless you on your journey.

Food noise is awful! I take Wellbutrin to combat this and it does help. I didn’t realize how MUCH it helped until my doctor tried to switch me to something else. I had the lap band procedure almost 11 years ago when I found out I was going to be a grandma. I was determined to be around to watch her grow up. I have lost 150 lbs and have maintained it within 5 -10 pounds either way. With the food noise being so insane, I was terrified of backsliding and gaining my weight back. Thank the good Lord, things have settled back down! You can do this Sherri! In the several years I’ve been watching your videos, I’ve seen that you are a VERY determined lady and when you set your mind to something, there is no stopping you! GREAT job doing all your research and going into this with the knowledge you need. I am keeping you in my prayers that this will combat the food noise for you and you will be successful in your weight loss journey! Please take care of yourself and believe in yourself! I am type two diabetic. I tried it for the diabetes and it made me sick. So I understand how it could work. But I took it for the other reason ( diabetes) so it wasn't for me. But if you can eat right and do all the right things. I have faith you can make it work. So hang in there. I will say prayers for you and believe that will work. Hang in there. I am hoping my Doc gets me started on this medication soon. I have PCOS and pre diabetic. My weight has always been an issue for me except during active addiction. I'll have 5 years clean next month. I've gained 100 lbs since getting clean. The weight gain makes it hard to stay clean but using is NOT an option for me today. In active addiction, I died 4 times in one week. So yes, this medication, even with the side effects, will be a safer option for me. I can't wait to watch your journey and to begin my own journey soon. Many Blessing to you!

You can do this! I tried it for 2 months with great results. I was lucky that my dr. gave me 2 months of samples. My insurance won’t cover it and the brand names are super expensive. I’ll have to do some research to find a place by me. 250 is a decent price compared to 1100! I wish you the best!

Good luck to you! I am pre diabetic and was prescribed the medication 2 months ago. I've lost 13 pounds so far. This is with diet change and exercise. I've cut the soda completely. The down side right now is that it's backordered and sometimes you don't get your meds on time.

I'm on Ozempic, same thing you have. I just went up to .5 mg. It works!!! My appetite is way down!! So you keep it up!!!

I did not get the side effects for a month. 5th week it hit me like a vengeance 🤢🤮 I felt like I had the flu. I stayed on it for 2 more months and said hell no!! I'm done! Lol 😂 Hopefully you will be ok. 🙏

I am type 2 diabetic . I am on Ozempic . I have had nausea and vomiting , but the longer I have been on it the side effects of nausea are less . I have lost some weight.The not wanting to eat and making myself eat is my challenge . The really hard part is cooking for my family because I don’t want to eat and of course giving the shot . I do have to stick my finger 2 to 3 times a day . I am a nurse but sticking myself is the hardest thing I have had to do . FeFe gives a good shot but I know you could do it too . Love you 🥰 😽😽

Best of luck to you . I’ve lost 83 lbs since mid March. I started with Ozempic and moved to Mounjaro in October. I take it to control my type 2 diabetes and have unbelievable results. You will have ups and downs.. extraordinary weight loss and some stalls. As long as you hang in there you will have wonderful results. I am on 12.5 mg of Mounjarno. I am one of the lucky ones I’ve had very few side effects. Best of luck to you ..

If you're feeling nauseous you may need to up your water intake. That is what helped me the most.

Oh this is fabulous news. Go you. I went on it and I lost 22 kilograms, about 48 pounds. I lost that within 3 months. It was fabulous. Unfortunately here in Australia because it's so popular it's on wait lists now for everyone. Even type 2 diabetes clients. Which is me 😢. But I'll still use it. If you get into the healthy eating and train yourself to eat properly your weight should stay off if you have to stop the injection for some reason. My appetite went. So I started fasting 16 hrs and eat in the 8 hr windows. Worked brilliantly for me. But I had diarrhoea constantly and nausea. But I got used to it. So now I'm waiting to get a pen. Fingers crossed it comes soon. I'm so looking forward to following your journey. The best of luck to you 😊❤🙌

Hey, Sherri! Thank you for this. I have had gastric bypass sleeve and lost 120lbs but I’ve gained some back. It’s so hard. I’m gonna look into this med and hope it’s cost effective for me. Nails .. I’ve bitten my nails most of my life and putting and keeping sticker nails and or nail polish on has helped me kick the habit. You can get the stickers at temu. I never see you with raw nails so that may not work for you. Sounds like this med helps with people struggling with various addictions. I have sweet and savory sack addition for sure! I made all the wrong choices my first haul of 2024! But I’m gonna do better! I’m routing for you and for us both! I wish you success ❤ you’ve got this, baby

What always helped me was keeping junk food and sugar out of the house. The bonus, kids eat healthy. I have a granddaughter who picked veggies over junk food and sugar. Good luck!! Sounds like a great decision.

Good luck! I'm type 2 diabetes and have been on insulin for a long time. It never changed, I give my shots 2x every day and have no problem doing it. I also have asthma and COPD. I take steroids. I've gained weight. I always have my blood tested along with other tests especially for my kidneys. So be careful because this is a diabetes drug you are taking and there are problems that happen. I will say prayers for you.

Made me sick as a dog. Severe stomach pain and vomiting constantly. Couldn’t keep any food down. Not being negative, but sharing my experience. I’m tolerating Trulicity. They have had me on this for over a year and in February I will raise my dosage. I have learned that when you start feeling sick and constantly throwing up, you have to eat very bland foods. I’m keeping bland foods in my house so I can tolerate the higher doses. If you have stomach problems and start vomiting constantly then eat only bland foods. I do have type 2 diabetes. Bland foods like broth, jello, crackers, noodles in broth, yogurt, etc. You can also inject in your upper thighs too, but do what the instructions suggest. Be careful, Bronchitis can turn into pneumonia. I used to have Bronchitis often, because my sister used to smoke 💨. When she moved out I rarely had Bronchitis, but it caused pneumonia and asthma. Blessings into the New Year. You will probably tolerate this medicine very well. You just look like the type that can tolerate many things 😊.

The doctor had me on Ozempic for a year and now the last few months on Mounjaro 7.5 after slowly increasing from 2.5 . I am Type 2 diabetic, ad it has gotten easier to control, even though I still need insulin and an oral diabetic medication (Junuvia). I have not lost any weight . Not a pound. But I take it anyway to help with my diabetes. I wish you luck.

Girl I started because I been stuck on the same weight for months I workout 6 times a week and also eat a clean diet only have 28 pounds to lose .first week on it lost 2 pound finally my weight has re started cant wait to see the results on my second week since I have so little to loose 28 ponds my numbers are not going to be big but ill take anything at this point every little counts I do take it before bed so I can sleep true it. I'm on 5m for the first month and is working next month I go up to 10m. I'm only doing it for 3 months getting ready for my 57 birthday on April

I took Ozempic for over a year and lost only 10lbs 😢 I had to quit it because I couldn't hardly go to bathroom. #2 it got so bad so had to quit. I never go5 nauseous or sick with it and I know most people experience. Now Ive been on Mounjaro for months and lost around 15 lb so appatebtly it doesnt work for me like some. It does make me constipated as well but doesnt seem to be as bad as Ozempic. My faughter lost like 45 lbs w Ozempic but now she has gained some back. Both meds makes me cramp in my colon and bad constipation. So becareful with that. Ozempic cramos and not going to bathroom was awful. It does help with my diabetes and very little weight-loss. Hope it works for you better than it has for me.

Hi Sherri I take ozempic for diabetes it works.you have to make sure you stay hydrated.if you eat greasy food your know it.i eat chicken and ground turkey. I have fiber one bars they fill me good luck❤

Hey girl I’m doing Ozempic and so far I’ve lost 40 lbs. I haven’t been eating healthy as I should but definitely not eating like I used to. I’m surprised that you use a syringe and not a pen like I do but maybe it’s just the difference in meds. I’ve never had any side effects. Use those e-bikes on pedal mode of course… YOU CAN DO IT!!!❤

u got this. i’m on wegovy… u lose water weight in like a week… i started at 189, down to 141 in 8 months…. i had by pass, and will say, wegovy has done way more for me than the surgery, because the medicine is a mental medicine and tells u that ur not hungry. my relative was on ozempic, at 295, lost 15 pounds… and no more, so after 8 months, she stopped. everyone is different. but from what i can see it works more than it does not, so definitely worth the try! so happy for u
