Nicely done, pro tip with the mini fridge. Put it on a piece of wood to lift it off of the carpet so it doesn't suffocate itself while running.

I think its awesome how seemingly stoked you are for rebuilding that switch collection. I feel empty unless I have some sort of project or idea looming in the old noggin. Having just moved myself I completely whole heartedly understand. Bologna sandwiches and chips for dinner lmao. The paint job looks incredible btw.

Depends on where you are in the United States. I moved to a little town 45 minutes from Times Square that for 2500 square-foot home you’re looking at $1 million and about 30,000 a year in taxes. But it has one of the best school systems, zero major crime and To me major crimes are murder & rape and I’m 45 minutes from NYC. Now an hour up the line for me you would get the same square footage but with acres of land for probably 400,000 and your tax and you would probably be 5000 a month. You pay for the school systems for no crime a really good police department but your taxes are no joke.

Hmm should've thought about this a bit more first! 55" TV would have been perfect and not had the sides cut off! Single cinema style recliners (fake Lazyboys basically) would be great, affordable and not block the whole area. And 300 bucks for a mini fridge? Man they saw you comin..! GL with the rest of it though

Bro how you put the TV in the car was making me so anxious lol. Where I work I load TVs into people's cars and it being on its side in the trunk could get it cracked insanely easily if you hit any kind of speed bump. We worry about that even when the TV is in a box lol

I was hoping you'd get a branded mini fridge like a soda brand with an open face on it or just a fully enclosed one maybe something retro. That would be my choice but the one you got after seeing it honestly looks nice matches the theme of the room more with the wall colors for sure. Retro couch in the retro zone ayooo. After seeing the clip with the light behind the fridge wow it looks even better now that's some nice ambiance. First couch configuration looked clean shame it didn't fit the bill. A space fit for a king to pretend to enjoy video games. I love games but can't enjoy them like I did as a kid it seems like they always give me a headache in less and less time the older I get.

One of those side tables with the built in mini fridge would of been nice next to the small sectional!

A 24" Sony Trinitron with S-video or component inputs would be the perfect size crt for your retro gaming setup if you plan on having multiple consoles connected to it and recommend your Wii be connected to the crt tv and find a Wii U to be connected to your 4k tv. That way you can enjoy your Wii games in HD and have your Gamecube games look phenomenal on the crt tv. I know this because I already have a dedicated gaming room with a crt tv with retro consoles on shelves all connected to the 24" Sony Trinitron and a 4k tv for my Wii U, Xbox series X, PS5, and PS3. These are just recommendations from a dedicated retro gamer and collector.

Just an idea for the couches. I would've used the large sofa in the retro side, and the small sofa and corner piece on your other side. Could kept the emerald sofa out of the equation.

@@Exilitate I actually dig the emerald sofa but I think the sectional is huge and takes up a lot of space. So, I think they could get the desired outcome by just splitting that between the 2 sides and keep the green one in the guest room.

I think 300 Is a good price. I just checked best buy and they have on sale $400 65 inch Roku TCL that normally retails for $800. Only thing I would say is for a gaming set up having a TV that goes up to 120Hz might have been perforable If this one doesn't.

Get a Sony Trinitron 1080p CRT, if you can find one! Also, you can vinyl-wrap the TV stand to match the emerald couch. A cool idea would be a bar, down there.

No You are not the only one he was charged way to much for that. Most decent brands go for like a max of $250 for a fridge of that size i get wanting to support local stores but he got ripped off there the exact same model he bought goes for less than $250 at some big box stores.
