    Looks ok for very basic small jobs, but I'll keep my full size table with my 2.25 HP bosch router.

    I saw this a few weeks ago. Looks ideal for small & repetitive work on site. I like the compact size, compatibility w/ various brands & portability. Thanks for putting this video together. It’s nice to get a demo from a trusted fellow maker.

    Some times you have to decide what you will do yourself and what you will farm out. I gave up doing doors long ago as it's almost as cheep to buy them as to build them yourself. 95% of my work is with palm size routers today. But there are times I love to bring out my PC 890. Not sure about the router table, but I'm liking the Table Extension. Also look into those LR32 Guide Plate adapters. They are great for adapting plunge bases to work on a LR32 guide rail, and for doing groves. My Makita and my PC 890 have the bases installed on the plunge bases permanently. Yes, I know TSO does not have PC adapters. I worked with the guy who originally came up with the idea and he 3D printed stuff for me as we tried out new ideas.

    Looks like a great option. I have a router table. I do find myself wanting something portable when I’m doing some jobs. And I do have an MFT. Gotta love TSO. They have all the cool tools.

    The attachment method is quite innovative, and I'm sure all these features took a lot of development, but that is a lot of money for a couple of brackets and a small mdf top. My home made version has all the same functionality, will take a much larger router if required, and was put together in about three hours from workshop scraps.

    I put the Festool CMS router module into my homemade Palk mft table. Fits both the OF1010 or OF 1400. Well worth giving it a try. Heaps of support from the big Palk table. I do like your little router module though as it has some advantages over the Festool module I think, mainly the ability to slide the fence back and forward easier than the Festool cms module.

    Nice. Would buy one, except it does not have option for a router lift. I have a Makita trim router. Having to bend down and rotate the router to raise/lower is a pain. More so when older or have issues. I just received the TSO 30" parallel rip guides with extra stops and the MFT aligned guide rail support upgrade kit. Now just need to wait for the warm weather as I live in a condo and only work out on the balcony.

    It looks like an option could be to have a temporary mount for the incra LS fence using the accurate mft holes… I may try that

  • @CA70000
    @CA700004 ай бұрын

    Nice product for what it is but it would never replace the functionality of the Incra table you have. But if a tiny bit of space savings in your shop is worth the trade-off…thats all that matters. Also, strange that an attachment made to affix to a festool mft won’t work with their routers?

    I thought when you set the height on the JessEm wheels you set it off the metal hub, not the rubber wheel. I could be wrong, but that's what I do with the JessEm table saw wheels. I really like that about them. The wheels are unbelievably helpful in breaking down plywood if one doesn't have a sliding table saw. Perhaps they are different and not spring loaded like the table saw ones are. That really gives them some good downward pressure and also pulls the work towards the fence since they are angled slightly. Never mind. I just re-watched your video. It doesn't appear that the router wheels are spring loaded... I like my JessEm table saw wheels so much, I will probably get the router wheels someday. Thanks for the video as always.

    Great info… as always! Can you elaborate (or point me to a video if you’ve already done one) on MFT tables vs torsion style bench? I’ve been going back and forth for two years on which way to go. To complicate matters further… I have been debating installing a router wing in my table saw vs a dedicated router table. It looks like the MFT tables In conjunction with the TSO router table might give me the best of all worlds. Thank you in advance.

    I saw this in my email last night. It is awesome. I think it depends how much you use the table and what exactly you do on it. Would I sell my table for it? No. If I needed a solution, would I consider this for my MFT? Hell yes.

    Is the table physically large enough to fit a 2.25hp router, they just don't list them as compatible due to weight/torque support? If they adapted the design with supports on both sides so it could mount between two mft tables, or in my case between an mft table and the mw 1000 mobile station (the supported side of the mw) it could be quite an upgrade. A small in feed and large out feed and solid platform for a bigger router.

    Out of curiosity has Brent ever stated that his channel was for hobbyists? I mean an MFT/3 Table alone is $799.00 then it is some what pointless to pay that if you don't have a compatible track saw which would be another $400-800 depending on model (the makita fits on the festool rails has does the new milwaukee). So a $300 router table extension isn't that nuts when you already have $1100-1600 invested in this system. Hell a cheap router table with out a router runs $200 and isn't much bigger then this.
