Hi Dom, I have enjoyed re-watching this video. You have some fantastic selections here. Would have liked to get in on a few of these albums but alas my CD focus keeps me out of contention! It's quite funny really because as an unfortunately committed digital listener I will usually seek out reissues in the hope of better mastering and bonus material. Kinda the opposite of the vinyl collector world!

This is a great opportunity for someone to get some wonderful records. But one thing...you have a Red Hash reissue? D@mn. Now i am jealous That is a really special record and i would recommend someone jump on that one immediately. Even the reissue has gotten rare at times. I have been slowly doing a similar activity as you over the last two years or so. You'll be happy you did this, believe me. I did keep certain reissues that i'm really fond of or the chances of find an original is unlucky. Some of my favorite records aren't even in my collection at the moment but that's ok. I'll look through the list a bit closer and see if I can find anything. Best of luck.

Yes Red Hash is indeed special, why I went for the 1st pressing. Soon will discuss, it's an important one to me as well. I hate to see some of these go but it's something I really had to do. Every year I buy less and less reissue so its a matter of time. This is a major chunk of them but there is a good bit more. Perhaps another pass at it soon. I think I agree and I'm ok with not owning some favorite records with their original pressings being out of reach. Perhaps in time. See ya Shawn!

Haha! Glad you enjoyed my Manifesto video. I used to have a tons of reissues, but one day I made up my mind sold them, never looked back. And seriously, someone should buy the entire lot, so much great music in there. Many I'm looking for as well: These Trails, The New Tweedy Bros, Jandek, Deep Night, Bob Trimble, Fapardokly, Karen Dalton etc. etc. etc. And a bunch I already have. Good luck with the sale!

Yes I need all those originals except for Dalton, which could use an upgrade even but has gotten more and more expensive. Will comment on your video as I enjoyed it quite a bit. Curious what Swedish records you have on the Love and Silence labels (+ related)? Would love to see, assuming you dig those ;)

@@seekingathread Yes I definitely dig those, but ut maybe more in theory than musically. Of course there are some great stuff, like Älgarnas Trädgård that you have, but also a lot that's quite dull to be honest. I'm thinking of doing a video with my Swedish stuff at some point. By the way, the band Bob Hund that I played in my manifesto video is on Silence, but it's from the 90s.

Just got an original of Fapardokly mono and it is one of the best sounding albums I ever heard. Pure magic. Expensive but worth every penny. I will get the reissue just to compare. Love ur channel because of the obscure gems u show

The Swell Maps and Television Personalities I'm hearted that they got a mention here, they tend to be overlooked, almost forgotten with in talk of the British alt music scene of the early-to-mid 1980s and yet they were both so central at the time.
