@@erikwallace8527 Wish I could tell you; haven’t knocked /sold illinois since Nov. One thing I’m waiting on is to see if the re-- funding of Illinois shines program changes the compensation structures . Everbright changed their comp plan last October when Illinois shines ran out of money and I don’t know if it’s gonna change back again to the good old days.

No, they do not put a lien. The PPA makes so much sense right now. Most of the deals we do since this video are leases in FL and PPA’s in the other states we work.

it’s a mechanics lien on the equipment if you stop paying they have right to take back their equipment, there’s no lien on the house giving company’s a stake in the property. the next homeowner will gladly pay the locked in rate if done correctly

What is the difference between PPA and Lease?

1 you purchase power used at a per price kWh. 2 you’re essentially renting the equipment to generate power, and the system monthly installment is offered based on system KW size (Batteries adjust the variables).

I disagree. Since learning the PPA, that is all we are pushing unless it's a cash purchase. Dealer fees are high, and people don't want to take on loans. I will say we set all appointments for PPA's now so I'm a bit biased, but it makes so much sense unless you pay tons in taxes and have cash to fund it.

Kingmike you’re 100% right. PPA gives you no equity. It actually hurts the value of your house when you try to sell. You get no tax credits. It becomes a liability and not an asset. The 2.9% escalators add up quick.

PPA’s are trash for 9/10 consumers. If you can take the credit and can buy that’s better almost all of the time. Once you add up all the payments with the 2.9% escalator or whatever you end up paying more than actually buying or financing it. Selling your house becomes a nightmare. It becomes a liability and not an asset. You’re locking in a rate that goes up and may be lower than utility or may not. You get no flexibility too. It becomes very hard to add to your system like more panels or batteries, etc.

Honestly I get what you mean but it’s abt 60-40. In most cases the ideal would be a loan or financing option but the day and age we live in people don’t see the big picture. If someone can save without going into debt they will. Also abt gave the people that do a loan never end up putting the tax credit back into there system anyway so the compounding bill is usually always going to be a problem
