Selinus Ancient City - We climbed 650 stairs. Enjoy coffee with mocha pot
Selinus is one of the most important regions of the Mountainous Cilicia Region. The city took this name because Trijan, one of the Roman Emperors, died in this city. The Medieval Castle, Agora, Large and Small Baths, Şekerhane Mansion and Monumental Tombs are the architectural structures that can be seen today in the city where Roman settlement was intense. The church and cistern within the acropolis are important structures that have survived to the present day. Other structures of the city of Selinus are located on the beach and on the hillside. These structures include baths, agoras, Seljuk Mansion, aqueduct and Necropolis area. The monumental tomb in the necropolis is important. The majority of the osteotechnics in the Alanya Archaeological Museum were brought from the Selinus Necropolis, which suggests the existence of a workshop in Selinus.
