Hürrem takes an action to prevent a new prince to be born. Bayezid gets caught by Selim in Manisa where he has come secretly. Meanwhile, Nurbanu who has been endungeoned has a new surprise. Mustafa and Sparrowhawk try to find Nisa. Hürrem stokes Suleiman up with something that Mustafa get in danger.
Rüstem who has abducted Nisa corners Barbarossa. Barbarossa will give something to Rüstem, whose only wish is to earn his reputation back, bigger than he expects. Rüstem gives his position to the tead chamberlain. Sokollu Mehmed impresses Hürrem by his tenacity and intelligence.
Hürrem makes new plans about Nazenin. However, the conversation she has had with Suleiman changes everything.
Huricihan requently meets with Cihangir in the hope of learning about Bayezid. Cihangir gets the letter by mistake which she has written to Bayezid. Cihangir hopelssly falls in love with Huricihan.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Nurbanu really had a tragic origin like she said she was never loved by her parents and in the flashbacks we can see that her father wanted to marry her off to someone to finally get rid of her , despite that she grew to really care about her own children and didn’t repeat her parents mistakes, also in real life she was also close to her grandchildren as she saved Prince Mehmet ( future Sultan) by her Son’s wrath despite her differences with Safiye

An interesting parallel between Hurrem and Nurbanu here is they were both saved by an unexpected pregnancy (Nurbanu's stakes were lower then since Selim was returning to reconcile), of which they both gave birth to a very beloved son. In Nurbanu's case, ended up being their ONLY son.

That's because it's not real love. Real love is patient, kind, and NOT self seeking. Cheating on the one you "love" is the definition of self seeking. It doesn't matter if it was the thing that was done during that time period or done today in Western countries. If you truly love someone then you don't wish to hurt them.
1:04 Selim you are still my favourite sehzade but you should never have done this kind of violence to Nurbanu . It would seem, however, that Selim takes the widow into protection not only to silence Suleiman but also out of remorse. Smart move of Nurbanu even if it is risky it shows that she is an excellent politician although a beginner given that it was a risky move. And it seems that Bayezid got a lot of time to waste to go to the province of Selim. It's not smart he should have sent a spy to him unknow to Selim if he wanted to destabilize Selim instead he got caught in the act ((even a child would have thought of that). And Lala Mustafa Pacha is such a disapointment, in real life he was know to be cruel to his opponents as he flayed his Venetian enemies ( correct me if I am wrong). And as we know that in history he betrayed Bayezid ( even if it is because Selim was better suited to be Sultan than Bayezid among others reasons who are surely more opportunistic), so I was expected a Roose Bolton version ottoman. In this show he seems to be an opportunist ( even if it is understable) and still too much soft and weak which he was not. Come on they diabolize Hafsa, Hatice, Sah, Nurbanu ,Hurrem, Mahidevran, Ibrahim and even Rustem but they can't diabolize him which would have been much more justified in his case (and much more interesting and dynamic from a scenario point of view)

Never liked Nurbanu however I can’t blame most of what happened and how she reacted. Hurrem wanted to trained her to be just like her as she reminded her of herself but forgot to regard her as she regarded herself and then gets angry cause Nurbanu did I what she had to do in order to survived, just like her. I unos the shown has too many makes up facts but the point remains.
It`s interesting and entertaining to watch, and it`s easy to become a fan of such good acting etc., but one must remember that most of the plot in these series (including the one that concerns Selim) is a TOTAL LIE, according to real history! In reality people loved Hurrem AND Selim, the latter was actually called by the folks as "Selim the Good-hearted" or smth like that, because he was very compassionate. He did drink occasionally, but he was NOT an alcoholic! Otherwise, if one forgets about this (that these series are mostly FAKE from real history`s point of view), - then he or she is risking to become (or stay? ) a total moron.

Huh? That's not true. Nurbanu's actress was asked to play either Kosem or Nurbanu and she chose Nurbanu. She loved her role and she even said "I think what made Selim "Selim" was Nurbanu." Don't spread lies.
