Fantastic day, despite the result, one of the best football days I've ever had. Crystal Palace and their fans were brilliant hosts. We were in the Albion for one after the game and chatting to the Palace fans was a pleasure, they were really impressed with us as a club and our supporters. Mutual respect!!!

You gained about 20 thousand new supporters that day. The magic of the cup brought us together but what resulted from this tie is a new found kinship that will live long in the memory for us Palace fans. Really enjoyed talking to several Hartlepool fans before and after game, you're all an absolute credit to your club. Great game, great atmosphere, great times had by all. Although I wasn't there due to being ill, I will always remember the game in 93, and I caught the train,and their fans were so friendly.

Despite the result this was a day all of us Poolies should be so proud of. Such a short time since the nightmare of us losing our club seemed a very real possibility all at HUFC have proved ours is a truly special club. Now living down in Leicester my love for the club is stronger than ever POOLIE TIL I DIE!!!!! 😀😀😀
