I'd like to know if these wires can be left on the roof and coated with roof coatings like the Henry's 100% silicone 887 white Tropi-cool coating? I was told we can leave the wires installed year around. Basically once we install em we never have to remove them. Thanks

Can I use this tape even if I don’t have gutters? I have a valley and I don’t have gutters on the back of the house but I need to use the cable to stop the ice dam.

These self-regulating cables can be used on your roof valleys, however, if you don't have any gutters that collect the melted ice, just be cautious of where that water is falling to prevent water damage on your house. Did you ever find out why theaw cannot be used on metal roofs? Or if there is an alternate type of product that can be used on metal roofs? This is what I’m trying to do

@@joealta3450 found briskheat out of Columbus Ohio that was very helpful with info about the different applications. Installed their product last year and had no problems. Their products are a much better grade. The self regulating cable is the way to go much safer to.
